[No players] Big epic lurking - PB74

Has anyone nudged pindicator about how he feels about his chances of winning since he got back?

I've asked him for an update, we will see how he sounds. Gav thinks he has a chance. Mind I don't know if they do and certainly not with half hearted throwing away naval stacks Commodore. But I get it late game can be tough mentally.

I do agree the turn pace actually seems fantastic for this late in the game. Neither PB59 and certainly not PB66 did as well.

Yeah .5 turns per day at this game state is excellent. Think the issue here is just overall morale and gamestate.

Ya agree.

I find it funny Commodore who was formally 2nd and got help from the 3rd and 4th place players is now saying that helping the new 2nd place player would be king making. This is just late game desperate pile on to stop the leader.

Commodore's notion of what a good turn pace is may have been somewhat influenced by the speed of PB71 and PB76. wink

You haven't really played civ until you've tasted PB74's turnpace

Do I need to mention PB3 and arguing over play order in a 5 way war? It took a week to resolve.

We know pain.

I think I should trow PB66 in here too.
About 1 week per turn in the months ?

Never underestimate the power of real life war weariness

it seems like the whole coalition is close to conceding out of demoralization..... or, more specifically, a sense that the OTHER members of the coalition are demoralized and so there is no point fighting on. both pindicator and mig have independently posted statements of the form "if the other players want to concede, don't keep the game going on my account", which to me suggests that both of them want to keep playing but are feeling guilty about forcing, well, each other to continue. i do not know, technically speaking, how much more of a definitive statement of concession the game needs to be called (assuming comm is also conceded, which i think is true), but that dynamic seems like kind of a shame to me frown i hope we get to see a bit more of this ultra-lategame naval war.... but of course, it's easy to say that when i don't have to devote 3+ hours per turn to playing it out
