How many cannons did you have? I wonder how much of that catapult collateral you might have mitigated. Cannons don't fare that poorly against grenadiers.

I definately could have stuffed enough to make attacking very expensive. I might have made a mistake not defending it properly, but this is not a big deal that city was not essential at this point of the game. Below is the battle log. Serdoa hit it with 5 Catapults and then lost 1 Grenadier. After that he got all wins and on my turn I cleaned up the wounded units and disbanded the other worker.

In this case I think the game lasts long enough that it might make little sense . Easy access to 3 promo units. However currently that city is on MG producing duty until Serdoa situation is handled.

Now we try this against Serdoa. Mackoti augments this in his turn. Let's see how long Serdoa decides to avoid confrontation. Building lot of wealth and science to get Assembly line in 2T. Fired also golden age and converted to US and Free Speech.

Can we see the demographics? I'm wondering how much US boosted your MFG in particular. I guess the GA is distorting it right now though. A 6-turn Wall Street build is nice.

MFG raised from ~500 -> 850, both US and Golden age included. Goal is to build some factories/Coal plants during the golden age. I probably fired Golden age a bit too early.

Moving forward. I moved NE from there. Serdoa's stack is located on this capital (I've 1 Airship from Mackoti). I'm disappointed on Mackoti's contribution i.e. lot of Knights. He decided to bring his modern units from east that only benefit him and not bring them to our combined stack. I'm actually quite worried, if we've enough to face the Serdoa's main stack on open field.



Demographics:


I'm focusing on hammers during my golden age so GNP is not a big surprise. Techwise I'm quite a bit behind of MAckoti. I'm not sure, if I can catch him in case we both try to build space ship so I probably need to try something else.
