The Germans have a single unit left, which WPC will kill whenever they next log into the game. We killed 30 of their units this turn, losing 5 catapults and 1 knight. We also captured the last remaining German tundra city. More pictures and details to come tomorrow morning.

I poked the game, we can tech Banking in 2 turns at 60% science, running a deficit of 268g. So, our goal is to rack up ~536 gold. We're producing 20g from wealth builds. At 100% gold, we're producing 189g from non-wealth builds. Which means that wealthbuilding does not actually help speed us towards Banking.

That's not to say that it won't help speed us towards replaceable parts + rifling. Let's see, that is 2700 + 3600 raw beakers, not counting any learnt bonuses from Apolyton (as I can't remember the formula). That's ~7.4 turns at max science (853b), running a deficit of 586g. So we need to accumulate 4328g to run through Repparts and Rifling, and to do that we need ~23 turns of max gold with zero wealthbuilds. So our current Rifling eta is ~27 turns, but our raw commerce rate will increase our german acquisitions come out of resistance.

One final thing I've noticed, CFC's teched Banking, and they're going to switch into Mercantilism this turn and make us lose another 10c or so from losing trade routes frown. Losing open borders sucks. Luckily we'll get some intercontinentals next turn smile.

Anyways, what I propose is that we keep building wealth in Mansa's Muse even after Banking comes in, because its hammer rate is so low that it will take 7 turns to crawl towards a 3-pop bank whip. And we're not whipping it for another 17 turns because we want to pop a great person there anyway. So I'll take the addition 17 * 7g from wealthbuilding.

Also, I notice that MM is making 6 raw hammers from the engineer. Are we even planning on using a low odds Great Engineer on something? If not, we could switch the engineer over to a final merchant, so to gain an additional 2g from the better base yield and a better rounding. Blah, minutiae.
