my new goal for this game is not to be the first to die in the shark tank

nothing says "gold, incense, crap food, and bad tiles" like...

Mate, if we're allowed to complain about crap food with a grass pig in the picture words have lost all meaning. That bottom city also looks great with four floodplains and (?) floodplains-gold.

The gold is a desert tile, so you would be basically food neutral with cottages on the floodplains. I think a city by the pigs will be good, but I have to settle something for the gold first and all it has is one wet wheat  frown

When did 5f/1h become an "all it had" tile lol

I'm just pulling your skins (though you'd definitely farm fp in that scenario).

In terms of food, all you have besides the wheat is a couple grass tiles to irrigate post CS, and a lake you can lighthouse if founded on the coast (but that would mean putting the gold second ring).,

i thought i played my turn yesterday, but now civstats is giving me doubts  scared

plemo sent me this baffling offer:

my army consists entirely of warriors, i don't even know where SD's land is. why are you asking me for this?

well, maybe that GG has something to do with it. did SD go for a rage attack on plemo? Might be worth sending a chariot or two in his general direction to see if I can vulture.

t50 overview. we have 3 cities, soon to be four. worker labor is at a premium here.

what the fuck

did he die to barbs? i didn't see anyone going up on the scoreboard when he lost score.

never mind, i guess tarkeel and civac invaded him and... burned his cities?

I know I'm not the world's best civ 4 player, but I don't get what people are doing here to enable all this early conflict. My second city grabbed second ring horses as soon as I could pop the borders with religion. Neither of my strategic resources have food first ring. Are people settling on copper to enable these rushes? Or did they just get luckier on city placement?
