[spoilers] Commodore gets medieval

You know this might come as a shock to some but I think Vikings should have been banned.

Everything has proceeded exactly as I saw the second I looked upon that starting screenshot.

Scooter miiiiight be more angry at Thoth than me now, so I'm sending my first keshik north instead to ensure Pin will be honest with his attempt to acquire that barb city.

The super-tiny map was always going to devolve into a bare-knuckle brawl. I'm fine with it, but I wonder if we'd like to try this again on a bigger natural map that is less warfare-biased.

I can make the few tweaks to RtR (including the civs, and then let the players have final say in the civs) for a game with random leaders and civs on a totally random map.

I just doubt you get more than 4 players willing to play.
Current games (All): RtR: PB80 Civ 6: PBEM23

Ended games (Selection): BTS games: PB1, PB3, PBEM2, PBEM4, PBEM5B, PBEM50. RB mod games: PB5, PB15, PB27, PB37, PB42, PB46, PB71. FFH games: PBEMVII, PBEMXII. Civ 6:  PBEM22 Games ded lurked: PB18

I'm sure. It's fine. I'd love something like the PB75 map as ideal for this, maybe with modifications for <redacted> and <redacted>.

Overflow worked out nicely, so I just had a single mildly-nervous interturn and...

...bingo. With all religious civics unlocked, I'm now going to be mixing turns of Theocracy unit-making, Organized Religion ger-making, and Pacifism bulb-growing (two Great Merchants for Civil Service, then Guilds). I love it. Next turn, I'm going to manifest 30 free hammers with a pair of double-whips into gers, anyone guess how I magic those hammers?

Thoth, meanwhile, is having a different kind of fun, but also undoubtedly it's a blast.

Nobody bit, I guess it's obvious. 2-pop whipping two gers for 75h each, then revolting into Theocracy means the overflow is not divided out again. I've built up a lot of overflow, the peaceful build queues of this one get dumped into keshiks and a WE in one case; there's going to be two 8-xp WE and six 8-xp keshiks out in the next three turns.

As the event log showed, I'm also enjoying the barb city's improvements, they're funding Machinery. Nice hamlets, barbs, the rest of us know better than to do that.

My fun time raiding the Barbarian Piggy bank is interrupted by Top Power Pindicator:

I offered peace to Scooter. He's been crippled quite nicely but if he's got a secure flank he's not actually out of the fight. I even think we might want to start benefitting each other in happy resources.

...because I don't want this to be a complete Pindicator Romp.

I really enjoy reading your story, makes me feel anxious about what's going to happen smile

Crack the egg it's a lot of fun, but don't get anxious, in the very end this is a game. It seems to have cost Pin quite a few swords to take the massive barb city.
Scouting around his core, it looks like he also is under the impression that this will have some sort of long-term outcome with an actual hamlet, nearly a village present.

Let us readjust his expectations, shall we?
