[SPOILERS]2metraninja for PB17 (If any)

I'm not aware of map trading being used to signify any hidden meaning before, but Furungy could be the first to try it, or it could simply be an offer for a map trade. I know when I'm playing that I frequently offer map trades to other players who are at war because I'm curious about what's happening and having an updated map to show who has what cities is as easy a way to be updated that I know of. I won't attempt to infer meaning for you, but to my knowledge there is no previous RB AI diplo history in such trades.

Well, its been more than a month since my last update, but it is the peak of the summer in this hemisphere and I've been busy with other activities.

A lot of things happened since TBS got me so good by surprise with his knowledge of Engineering. I had built/drafted/slaved what I believe to be the most powerful army in the world (in demographics I am shown as second, but almost all my cities are down to 2-3 size, where Zanth/Gavagay's are like size 18 almost all and they do have more techs which give power than me, so I give it to this. Currently I have like 70+ cuirs and 40+ muskets plus some 30-40 old crap units.

The geopolitic situation changed a lot too. Zanth/Gavagay attacked and almost decimated Slowcheetah and then Nakor got the balls to declare to them and now they are concentrated on him. Back then I decided to not try to use the moment and attack Slowcheetah, even declared him a war and proposed 10-turns enforced peace to give him freedom to concentrate on rifle/cavalry/canon wielding ZG duo.

Right now, in the very near future, having this much of an army and not much to lose (damn my carelessness about TBS which allowed him to ruin my not at all bad chances for upper position finish), I plan to wage war to at least 3 nations, maybe up to 4-5 depending on how things develop.

Just declared war to TBS and invaded him in 3 columns, while he is seemingly retreating his main stack to his capitol. Is it possible that he moves his units to respond to incoming attack from Furungy? WHo knows. I though I had kept my main stacks hidden from him. Not that I was not drafting and whipping as much as I can in the last 10 turns and he is not expecting me to come after him, but we will see. TBS have like 12cats, 12-15 maces, 6-7 xbows, 5 pikes, few axes and other old units and can just as of last turn produce knights. like 35 units he can have concentrated. I am invading him with something like 50-60 units - mainly cuirs and muskets, but also catapults and old units for filling. I am expecting hard fight with win for me in about 5-6 turns.

Next thing that I plan to do is to attack the ZG duo while they are in enemy territory with wounded army. Depending on the success I have in this, I might go deep in his territory, or sign a peace with him and attack Slowcheetah to acquire about half his cities. That's 3. 4 might be attacking Jowi to get couple of his island cities right next to my ex-Sian coast. And 5 at last can be Nakor if he does not give me the city of Hopeless he built on my continent in ancient times while I was fighting with Slowcheetah and Sian.

So those are my near plans, lets see how they envelop. I am on the war path, wearing the war paint on me :D

Possibly attacking five different players? This gets the Lurkers Most Approved certification! [Image: AR15firing.gif][Image: run.gif]

TBS is emtying cities and whipping knights. Luck wasnt on my side, as I lost the first battle C1 cuir vs unpromoted knight at 77+%. Anyway, took 2 cities of TBS. Next turn hopefully will take third and then in 3 turns I march to his capitol.

I was very tired after work and little sleep, so that I fell asleep on the keyboard and misclicked some units in ZG territory. Got angry and went ahead with declaring him a war lol. Took the first city and returned it to Slow for instant pop-up. I am building mass catapults to add to my cuirs and muskets on the western front.

Nakor have plenty of units, but he is keeping them with strange positions. 7-8 in each city, which in the face of the advancing and wounded ZG stack is just ... let me use the RB political correct term - suboptimal. He could had delivered really heavy blow to ZG, but maybe we just have to watch and wait some more.

Best would had been to have all my 100+ units on ZG's borders and then ZG was a "traveler" as we say, but alas - TBS is not to be left alive any more.

lol, will be hilarious if Furungy does the same thing to me - getting OB with TBS and using his territory to hit me as a hammer.

BTW, why are Zanth / Gavagai keep logging to the game before and after everyone they are at war with? Not saying they will do something intentionally to take advantage, but still I will feel way more relaxed if they dont. Even if only to know who plays after who in the turn order and who played and who did not so far.

I understand the turn is split into thirds due to various wars. Who is in each third of the timer? I'll remind people to stick to the right third in the tech thread if this is an issue.

The unpleasant job is done. Finally I took TBS's capitol after a messy battle. I lost 20 units and TBS lost like 55. The technological advantage and the comfort I had to switch civics around had helped me to have the upper hand in this. Furungy got easy 3 cities. One of them I am not at all happy about as it is on a peninsula he have no land border. But he is brother in arms in this game, and I got rid of very dangerous opponent, who got me bad once already, so I am happy to not have him around.

TBS is actually not dead yet. But he will most probably die in an extraordinary way, which I think will be a precedent at RB smile Here is the picture of the situation:

The barb mace was near my north size 1 city which just popped borders and because I do have The Great Wall, he was expelled right near the empty TBS city. So, if he does not have what good defender to whip this turn or just simply finish by normal production in the beginning of the next turn, he will be eliminated by a barb. Does it have other case like this? Grown up civ being eliminated by barbs?

Anyway. Good fight, TBS.

Oh, wow. We've had several eliminations by barbs in FFH games, but never seen this in BTS before.

lol Barbarians steal the killing blow? Oh noes! GG TBS, thx for subbing!

So what's next? You said you would declare war on almost everyone, how is that coming along? hammer
