Ho-ho-ho Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

So far - dull game and dull play by me. Settled in place. Scouting the west turned out to be a 1-2 tiles narrow strips of land in the sea, leading somewhere even more west (I turned my scout back after some 15 tiles west exploration. Built worker, building corn farm, teched Agriculture and Fishing, building WB and teching AH for pasturing the cows. Met no one. Seems like my west is not much good as land quantity, so I will try to expand east. Will try to have earlier second city (usually I postpone it way too much in favor of working cottages in capitol at happy cap).

That is for now.

Hey! Glad you popped in. Lately I am so overwhelmed with work at the office and work at home, that I hardly can remember the last time I had a free day or spare time. Today is my first day off this year I think? So I barely have time to play those pitbosses and have no energy nor desire to make reports or detailized descriptions of my plans. And it is too early yet to have something of major importance.

Otherwise, I will take and post some screenies tonight and will throw few thoughts of what is going on so far.

So, here it is the short update:

My capitol Tzarevetz is size 4, have granary and is working a settler, which will be whipped for 2pop at t58. Will settle at t61 and hopefully the very next turn I will land the still unclaimed Hinduism in the fourth city west of capitol.

Third city will be settled next turn. Workers are a bit slow there, but map wasnt too kind for me in terms of city settling location which can share improved tiles, or at least I did not thought good enough for this.

Second city is size 3, working warrior and growing with chopped granary.

Nice bonus which I just saw this turn is the barb city borders I see in the east. Given the reluctance of people to tech archery at all, I think it will be guarded only by warriors, which I hope to eat alive with couple of axes after I connect the copper. Nice one.

My only two neighbors I met so far are located east of me. I know nothing of them besides that Sian is long time RBer and that one of them had some serious troubles with barbs (having to fight already more than 2-3 battles with them) and just lost his exploring scout, as the barb warrior I see is wounded. Hopefully he will give my own scout his second promotion. BTW he was idle and was healing for some good 7-8 turns already. I decided to keep him alive than explore fistful of tiles few turns earlier and lose him.

Hmm... And what one does here when in war and someone double-moves him?

Email Xenu and show some evidence from civstats, game will likely be reloaded if that's the case and you get hte advantage of knowing his plans. And whoever double moved you, if it was a double move, get's smacked down in the tech thread.

2metraninja Wrote:Hi there,

I was advised to write to you and tell about being double-moved in PB17.

2 turns ago (250BC) Sian declared me a war playing after me. I played in the last turn before him and he played after me, but then as he was last to play in the turn, he went ahead and moved twice. It is easily seen on the civstats how he plays last in 225BC and then plays first in 200BC.

I leave the decision what to do to your discretion.

Thanks.

Civstats shows an obvious double move this turn, with Sian playing last (rolling the turn) on the prior turn, then ending turn this turn before 2metraninja played. If he indeed made unit moves this turn and didn't just accidentally end turn (which would seem doubtful), yeah, that'd be a double move. You guys have been at war for two turns, right? We need to find where to reload to -- hopefully not redoing any combats prior to the current turn if it can be avoided. If there's a save available I think reloading to the start of the current turn would be best -- Sian will have already played the end of last turn and will have his units unmoved for this turn. He would wait for you to play, then he could log in and play. I don't know anything about the game state (didn't even know you guys were at war), so whatever we do needs to be fair to you.

I'm leaving work now, I'll look into this more tonight including finding out what saves are available to reload to. 2metra, if there is a reason reloading to the beginning of the current turn is unfair to you please post here letting us know.
