I think that's a hilarious plan, and possibly the best thing he can do against the big lad right now. If Flug can keep tweaking Com's nose, but is ready to counter any offensive moves by Com (which he did nicely last time) it might even work. His main problem is when Wetbandit dies and the war weariness goes away.
What would you guys do instead?
I haven't been reading Yuris and Logical's threads - do they have any plans?

Well LT last updated end of May and yuris in mid-june so they may have plans but they don't tell them.

Yuris hasn't updated since he was considering the merits of building an army of knights ... it seems he decided against that. He's really got to decide the right point for him to swoop in and try to cripple Commodore - with no land borders, I'd be considering Astronomy and a coordinated Naval strike while Commodore's army is deep in flugauto.
LT has no posted at all, I think, so no idea what his plan is since the ill-conceived attack that basically opened the game to Commodore. Not really enough info IMO to assess what his options are.
Flugauto needs a military ASAP; he snipped off Commodore's initial feints, but he was still distracted clearing out wetbandit and didn't bring his full force. I don't think that flug has enough to hold off the doomstack. I think that his best opportunity would have been to start a build-up around the same time as Commodore and then hit him in the side while the main army was up in wetbanditland.

This will not make much of an impression. Wetbandit is not long for this particular world. Happiness issues for Commodore die with wetbandit.

Dogpile 15 turns ago or concede.

Passivity is my guess. Without immediate coordinated action there is no point in continuing. And the power graph tells the story. No one is building up anything substantial. You can't out tech the guy with Mids and twice as much land as anyone else. Mercantilism 2.0 won't help them catch up either.

Could the hammer and EP investment to disconnect improvements possibly be worthwhile, given that Commodore surely has an army of workers by this point? Spending production on spies will only make his hammer disadvantage worse. He needs a dogpile, and he won't be able to capitalize on one (or encourage one to form) if he doesn't build combat troops.

I'd concede and start a new game.
What I would have done is flank Commodores stacks whilst they were in someone elses culture. now it's too late.

flugauto's mistake is to vastly overvalue the state of "Peace" for Commodore. Up to now the "2nd in power" (still a loooong way back, BTW) has poked him a couple of times and that's about it, but he expects to be paid off by 3 cities which also block off a large chunk of land besides.
I'm trying to think of a suitable fly-based analogy, but coming up blank.
Flugauto, when you're reading this after the game: simply put, Commodore has no need of Peace with you, so why should he sign it for a bad deal?
If flug just wants to keep playing for the sake of it (as his attitude seems to suggest), he needs to offer a couple of HIS cities to Comm for peace and hope the Barbarian Horde floods Eastward for their next expansion.
Anyway, I don't think there's any way to make him see the above without getting more explicit, so it is what it is, I guess.

Peace is still worth more to Comm than flug IMO. Not 3 cities worth though. Still, 15 catapults would be more useful than 20 spies.
