click the link, and type in "dr. nomadic", then click Okay. You won;t have to read any more posts by him again.
Thank you Krill! I read that latest post and I about a dozen times. No more headaches for me!

If he really is only following Sulla and Speaker than that is just oddly coincidental timing. I have a hard time believing that though.

T-hawk Wrote:Unfortunately the only active moderator here is Sullla himself, as Griselda and KoP don't follow Civ daily and Sirian shows up about once a year.
I know here at RB mod/admin powers are granted very carefully, but perhaps T-hawk should have mod powers for the civ forum. T-hawk has been here forever and is widely respected, and it does become difficult for Sullla to police the forum when he can't access certain threads.
T-hawk, would you object if I emailed Griselda and proposed you be given limited mod powers?
Re: Dr. Nomadic - I don't recall the RB community ever having to ban a member before, but this behavior is getting over the top. I suppose some benefit of the doubt is deserved, but that post is so spoilerish and comes at such a critical time. If you're reading this Dr., can you please at least consider not posting in any spoiler threads for a while to err on the side of caution?

oh oh - speaker is away for 2 weeks. Pity CoW isn't ready to go right now.

Looking forward to having you back with your Master's thesis complete in a couple weeks. ... hee hee ... if you are still alive
I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

I'd trust this face to mod my posts:

Actually, I picked the handle long before I ever heard of the Street Fighter character. It's the second-to-last boss in Zelda II (my avatar pic), who I always thought was way cool and the Shadow Link fight was kind of a letdown. Modern source material calls the blue bird Thunderbird, but my game guide back in the day said Thunderhawk and that stuck. And back in my BBS days, "Thunderhawk" was sometimes too long, so it got shortened and here I am.

So Dr. Nomadic did it again in Spullla's thread:
Dr. Nomadic Wrote:With such undeveloped neighbors on both sides I'm thinking that you could survive a two-front war. Unfortunately, if what you say is true, then it seems that athlete, Nakor, and Jowy are going to be on the same team in RBP3, and I'm not sure you can handle athlete's army.
Oh well. Somehow I'm thinking you should get Machinery early on, as when you are surrounded by enemies on all sides you need a military advantage (I unfortunately found this out the hard way recently). Development isn't going to matter if you guys don't have the security. Of course, you guys are much better players than me, so you'll think of something.
For the record, I'd recommend an axeman, spearman, and archer in each city on the frontlines (includes your capital!) if you have such nutty neighbors; only then can you work on libraries, and if one city is building a wonder then have at least one city on military duty at all times. Oh, and don't forget about more cities.
I sent him a PM telling him to delete it, and I let him know he's ticking off a lot of people right now...

I posted this in Sullla and speaker thread (aimed at the Dr):

Dr. Nomadic, I think with all your spoilerish / semi-spoilerish as well as (for this thread) irrelevant messages you should seriously consider stopping posting here ! Remember Sullla and Speaker might have the thread set-up so that they receive an e-mail alert every time someone posts in this thread (said alert will include the message posted, thus an edit won't solve the spoiler problem).
You run a big risk of totally ruining this game by your current actions!

Here's to hoping Speaker and Sulla don't use the email notifications! (Although sadly, I somewhat doubt that is the case) Those were some extremely egregious spoilers.

You know, a small part of me has kind of felt bad as I get the feeling he's kind of young and just over-enthusiastic, but it's just gone too far. I can tolerate annoying, but ruining the game is an entirely different story.
