On turn 174, Be prepared to end turn quickly, if polcp finishes before civfr. It would be a 3 way turn in any case...

How would we swing that?

Some of my rumblings at defense:
I am going over screen shots and trying to see how to defend our eastern front. We need to road tiles north west of those peaks between start all and ED. We also need to place most of the units such that they can reach ED by turn 176 or attack tile 1 south of ED by turn 176. I am not sure, if it is worth bothering with defense of starfall.
Also, move those southern Musket stack east. I can't see CP attacking south before turn 177. Can we count the number of turns that stack need to move south? I would guess 1 turn of healing, two turns of moving within their culture followed by 2 turns within our culture before attacking any city. We can whip/draft some rifles by then. It seems they are there to keep out stack occupied at DD.
Finally, whip and draft every city in the region by ED. We need to whip knights and then draft muskets. We just need to make we get rifling in 3 turns even after whips. After that economy can go to hell...

Not going to be able to stream today, but we'll need to stream tomorrow of course. Not sure how early I can start it, we'll have to see.
I don't think it makes any sense to try to get first half against CFC (why would we want to be sandwiched between the two parties we're at war with??) and I don't think we can feasibly do it in any case. We should try to run a counter-espionage mission against CFC at the end of t174 but I'm not sure if we'll be in position to do that.

Agreed with this. My sense is CivPlayers is against the missions, but they are mostly concerned about us using WPC as a "puppet team" to run the spy missions. Unfortunately WPC is in full "ignore all emails" mode, so perhaps we could come back to them with a promise that we would never support WPC in any mission like that.

Amazing what a few screenshots will do right? Thanks NB and MH for driving the game.

CFC will move towards ED and they will be in a position to attack it on 177. If we go first, we have a chance to eliminate their stack on that turn. Otherwise, our only attack option is on 176, at which time we may not ge that many rifles. For 177, we will have 3 rifles from drafting ED and two more whipping it. Any musket whip that got converted into rifle on 175 can have 3 turns to reach ED. Otherwise, we will only have two turns. With cannons, I am assuming we would attack rather than defend in the city..

Don't they have a fair number of knights too?

So yeah, I don't see this working out well for us either way. They have a medic 3 chariot in the stack so 19 cuirassiers will be more or less healthy next turn. We'll either suffer massive casualties and barely hold onto Ditchdigger (or possibly lose it), or we can attack now and kill some units (probably like ten) and then suffer massive casualties. If we withdraw to the north they can blitz eastward to Frozen Jungle and beyond.

For the purposes of combat on the current turn while BbB is still in revolt after being captured, will SoZ boosted war weariness effect us on this massive attack we're about to do? If it does apply while the city is in revolt, is it worse on the attack or on defense when our units get killed?
I think regardless of the answers to these questions we have to kill as many of the cuirs as we can now on the attack.
