Also, Noble, how are they going to take Frozen Jungle next turn in worst case scenario. I just dont see it. There are two tiles of culture in the way, no?

Please don't post at CFC yet. I'm talking to Caledorn about this. Would rather just go to him directly, explain the slight difference between timer and play time, and let him decide how to handle it.

ok, edited my message to "snip snip". Literally was on the thread for only 30secs.
Quote:Team RB is in need of a pause!
Things are just to stressful for us right now ...
Our turnplayer cannot play this turn in time and needs a couple of hours timer extension.
I have paused the game with 4:26hrs on the clock. We will play the turn this evening (US time) and hit enter as soon as possible. Ideally this will extend the real turn time by only one hour, max 3hours.
Thanks!
As compensation, we promise to end a turn 3 hours earlier, once our spaceship is enroute to Alpha Centauri.

I meant the turn after next. They would be in position to threaten to take FJ next turn, and would be able to take it the turn after next. Once DD falls they can move 3NE which puts them in range of the city, and they can even move one more tile if they want (with 2-movers obviously).

OK. Good luck with the stream tonight! Hope it draws a crowd, now that we finally shoot first.

I've granted your request for a pause, with a general admonition to all teams to please either ask for a timer increase, or try to plan turns better to get the turns played within the time allotted.
Like I stated in my post, I would rather have all teams play their turns rather than having the outcome of the game decided by a team not being given the chance to play (Which would almost certainly send a lot of players into unrest and unhappy citizens ). Please try to avoid emergency pauses in the future though, unless there is a crisis involved (of course). And remember that you are free to ask for a general turn timer increase if you need that. Thanks

As the Americans learned so painfully in Earth's final century, free flow of information is the only safeguard against tyranny. The once-chained people whose leaders at last lose their grip on information flow will soon burst with freedom and vitality, but the free nation gradually constricting its grip on public discourse has begun its rapid slide into despotism. Beware of he who would deny you access to information, for in his heart he dreams himself your master. - Commissioner Pravin Lal, "U.N. Declaration of Rights"

The stream will be at 10 PM EDT, or roughly one hour from now.

I am talking about your and cyne estimate that any cuir with more than 74 HP will have odds on green musket on a hill. I don't think your calculation included additional 15% stationary bonus...

Also, we caught some spies at the start of the turn. It's not a given that they will do spy revolt...There is a chance that we will catch more next turn..
Seems like we are very close to making Rifling 3 turns. Can we run research in couple of cities?
I was simming our attack on them, not their attack on us. The calculations for their attack are from odds given by Cyneheard's spreadsheet and are at least fairly accurate.
mh, I am not sure drafting HF makes sense. A musket isn't really going to defend the fort adequately and we really need those hammers if we make it to Rifling.

It also didn't take into account that many of our defenders are maces and not muskets.

Sorry, still eating. Stream probably delayed 15 minutes.
