Does Whosit know about the island city? I wasn't clear that he does. I mean obviously he can see from the diplo screen that they have another city but I haven't seen anything that says that he does.
I didn't want to say anything in his thread to tip him off if he didn't

Rego, he knows they have a city that is providing copper, but he has no idea WHERE it is.

I don't want to go digging through the threads, but I think I remember someone saying "Korea has copper, probably from an offshore city". But it may have been Holy Rome and not Rome who said it.

Just me again, triple posting.
People are coming up with all kinds of creative demands for Whosit to make, but I think his peace offer was reasonable. You don't want to make too many demands, it will just piss your opponent off.

The comment I was remembering from Whosit went something like "Pusan, wherever that is..."
Basically, he knows they have a copper city, probably does suspect it is on an island, but doesn't know for sure or exactly where it is.

I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

Are you implying that I'm a partner in the firm of Maniac and Marley?
She's even more wonderful than she sounds! We met several years back playing games over the internet, and somehow made what was for many years a long distance relationship work.
The actual story of that event is this: One Christmas time about 8 years ago, I was a single father who had just lost his job and was pretty much financially destitute. Managing to continue to provide for my son was difficult enough. I couldn't afford to give any Christmas gifts to anyone that year. We were chatting in an irc pm that evening, and the conversation went something like this (The log is on another computer, so I'm paraphrasing):
me: Some boyfriend I am. I can't even afford to get you anything for Christmas.
her: That's okay. I don't need material things from you. Your friendship is the nicest gift that I have ever recieved.
me: *cries
I literally cried so hard I couldn't see to send another message for more than 10 minutes. At which time I sent something along the lines of: I want to hug you and I never want to let go.
End threadjack.

Yes, sorry, "diplo" should be "demo."

As a lurker relying on the team's threads to see what is going on in this game, I find it is often difficult to get a feel for the overall situation. This is especially bad in the Pitboss 1 game where the land is more filled out and the situation is always in flux. I even have a hard time figuring out what the current date (or turn number) is at any time. This is compounded by the fact that some teams are more inclined to post regular screenshots than others.
I wonder if, if not for this game then for future PB games, it would be possible to set up periodic summaries specifically for the lurkers with overall (world) map screenshots and turn numbers posted in a lurkers only thread?
It seems like it would take some effort but the result would be a more coherent experience/narrative for the lurkers. Having never played one, I have no idea if the mechanics of a pitboss game could be conducive to such a proposal. Anyone have any thoughts on this?
