Interesting twist to the border area:

Looks like it might lead to both other rings instead of just one.

Two more cities, Mostima and Texas, were founded. They've got some good tiles to work while waiting for a religion spread for border pop.
Speaking of religion, we converted to Buddhism after taking this screenshot.

Emperor and Exusiai will grow back to happy cap, then go for another round of settlers.
Tech wise we've started MC for many reasons: Forges for +2 happiness, The Colossus for 4C water tiles, and Triremes for choking GKC or the poor sod to our NE.
Of course we should also send galleys and see if they keep their cities defended.

GKC didn't accept gold for silver trade. That's one less reason not to choke him smile
Hopefully if I explore with a WB to the NE I can find another civ who has silver.

Waiting paid off:

Free Buddhism spread to Texas. I guess this WB isn't getting time to scout first.

Metal Casting is done. Lumbermills will be made use of on this map due to low production until workshops get good.
Right now I'm thinking of going for Forge and Colossus in Emperor after whipping the next settler. It was tempting to go for earlier settlers in both Emperor and Exusiai, but it is best to hit the happy cap first.
Texas finished a granary and the trading post will be done in time to work the fish. The WB scouts a little tiny bit before heading there.
One of our next two cities will likely be on our inland sea island, and the other to the south.

Amica accepted gold for silver, so we can freely bully GKC, which I intend to do.

It turns out this was all the scouting needed:

No coast access to Mjmd.

GKC accepted OB and he seems to have an island city, so our trade increased by 5 GPT.

I think early Currency is probably a good idea just for passive income. Currency before Agriculture challenge? smoke

Amicalola got The Great Lighthouse. Not surprising for Carthage. I hope we won't be too slow with our Colossus project.

Next wave of settlers will go out soon. We might settle two island cities. The NE island could be challenged by Mjmd if he gets culture over the sea tile like we have.

Three civs have gone for Masonry for wonder spam. TGL was no doubt one of the targets. The Oracle is one that someone is working on.
I wonder if GKC was challenging for TGL because he went for early Sailing. Would have been good for us if he had gotten it.

I took a chance landing on this other island, hoping for another sea resource at the very least.

Oof. Nothing. Worse than nothing, in fact. There's no coast access through the middle. We have to control the sea tiles ourselves to move onto them (even with OB!), and we're not winning a culture war here vs creative.
Now, we can move our own island city 1S of the stone to make our own way. We should also settle it ASAP before GKC settles that 1-tile island and starts piling up culture.
Luckily we had an axe to do the scouting with, so our settler can deboard next turn. We lost 1 turn with the maneuver, but the information gained makes up for it.

Texas and Mostima. Exusiai could have a granary, but I opted for 2 axes. Granary might have been better because barbs are off.

Two new cities founded this turn: Bison and Sora. Bison can grab the crab ( bang ) next turn.
There's a third settler heading NW. I'm settling the 1st ring pigs instead of the closer spot there, because well first ring pigs is better than first ring nothing.
Fourth settler is being slow built in Exusiai. The galley will head over there and take it to the NE island.
