You have no idea how tempted I was to attempt the 3% shot with a CR2-promoted spear. Upside insane. But seems too low.

I'm impressed with the speed here, Yuri.
Meanwhile, I'm regretting not trying that 3%, reinforcement has begun in Et Tu here, and I think there's only a couple more turns before the Oracle pops to 40%.

I shoulda taken the 3% shot.
We've got a lot of troops, yo. The worst part of all of this is having to face the trireme(s), everything else we trade better with thanks to Dog Soldier efficiency.
Miguelito is top power. Going to step back a little at this point, just try to outscale.

Okay, let's toss away some hammers, Migucalola. You gonna let me fork you?

Quote:Commodore: This is a moderately horrific mass of ancient era crap.
Pindicator:What, no archers?
Commodore: Heh
He doesn't have Archery
Those would stop me butt cold.
Pindicator: How do you break through that?
Pretty sure I see an archer in that stack
Commodore: That is the single City Garrison 3 Archer that we started with
The answer, unless my sims tell me something really surprising, is you don't. What you do is you go past it and fork the capital as well as the Oracle City
Pindicator:That sounds smarter than what I was going to say
Commodore: What were you about to suggest? I will say that I have not simmed, you would be surprised by how well aggressive swords do even against aggressive axes so there might be a hole I could exploit
Also, the swords are as of yet unpromoted, if he misses the fact that they could take woodsman 2 then I could get a surprise
Pindicator: Swords may be better. I was thinking about 10 chariots, kept out of sight
Probably less than that, just need to slam through the spear and archer and then they get to the meaty targets
Commodore: The difficulty with chariots is frankly that I don't have enough happy to mass them.
Pindicator:Swords are almost certainly better
Commodore: It is much easier to double whip a sword or a dog into overflow in a chariot then it is to just build the chariots. I do have two more chariots that are going to be coming in on the western isthmus
Pindicator: Wait wouldn't the archer be top defender against your dogs?
Commodore: Yes, it is but the shock axes also have pretty bad odds when I'm attacking it to 40%
Pindicator: If the dogs take down the archer then the chariots only have to get through 1 unit before the axes
Commodore: The same direction I'm going is actually going to see if a dog can take down the Archer enough so that the rest can savage the axes and then the swords are a lot more effective, just have to see how it looks in the end with that sim
Pindicator: That would require less cannon fodder
Commodore: Thinking it'll wind up having to go with the fork.
But that's fine.
Scary sight there btw, that's a tartara axe at top.
6 vs 5.8, actually gets odds on the C2 Shock dogs.
Pindicator: Wow, that's rather impressive
Commodore: Japan is good with Stalin
Let's see how this shakes out, hopefully we lose a ton of units profitably.

Are we returning with HBR? How goes the Advanced War?
"Superdeath seems to have acquired a rep for aggression somehow. In this game that's going to help us because he's going to go to the negotiating table with twitchy eyes and slightly too wide a grin and terrify the neighbors into favorable border agreements, one-sided tech deals and staggered NAPs."
