Agreed.
Also, are we doing quick speed or normal speed?

I say map trades when you meet, no barbs, and no huts.
I did ask plako if he wanted to make a map - he said
plako Wrote:I could make a map for PBEM17 for you. However if you get someone else that would be alright also. Balancing the continents without them being identical is pretty hard so I'll probably need few days to find insipiration to start using the clumsy map editor again :-).

How do you plan to enforce that? Should the map maker pre-settle the capitals? Or just player rule, no moving to the coast?

Agreed. Also, has anyone but spacemanmf expressed interest in huts being on?
My vote is definitely for quick speed.

I guess what I meant was just that the settler is not on the coast. Depending on the shape / size of the continent, maybe have all the settlers sufficiently inland?

Hence my point... :-)
As for huts, I have no problem with them being off. I just thought it would something different to have them on, but it got shot down pretty damn quickly.

Okay I think we're ready to pick, right? Can someone randomize our players for the draft (darrelljs, kyan, novice, regoarrarr, shoot the moon).
Also, let's get timezones and preferred times of play
regoarrarr: EDT (GMT -0400), generally prefer evenings but have a fairly open window to play
