[SPOILERS]2metraninja for PB17 (If any)

I said I might be forced to declare a war to many nations, not that I will declare war to almost everyone smile

But I want to know if Donovan Zoi is lost his mind or what? I just saw he happily have OB with Z/G team so if I did not saw this, they could had hit my units in his territory frown Sight... so much for the gratitude or geo-political sense. I still want to fight Z/G but I also have a desire to smash my back-boneless neighbor to whom defense I waged a war...

GG 2metra, looking forward to see where all those Cuirs go next. smile

Thanks for playing TBS. You did great job forcing me to go frenzy instead of building up to be one of the contenders for the top places. Looking forward to playing with you in other game. GG

Well, that is betrayal and full nonsense on Donovan's side. I am going to offer peace to Z/G and kill Donovan off.

Poor Nakor is already traveller. BTW he had a chance to defend himself as he just got cannons from 2 turns. But he gave so many unfavorable battles to Z/G, that I dont think he have already enough hitters to do anything.

War with treacherous Donovan (heh, mate, dont take offence, but for me, this was beyond belief. I am not even mad, I am amazed) is going smooth. Declared and went in, next turn took 2 cities, this turn took 4 other and the next turn I will wipe his civ from the mainland. Galleys are ferrying units to capture his island cities too.

Here is how this front is looking on the third turn of the war:

Here is how the situation in Nakor's lands look:

Since the city of Hopeless was his biggest city left, it became his capitol, so my plan to ask him for it politely (and carrying a big stick of course in the form of 15 cuirs and 10 catapults) is not going to work, so I will have to just start with the stick.

Here is how my demographics look like:

So many wars and not all of them being easy had lead me to having big land and OK food, but tragic GNP (mind you this is supported with big time wealth builds) and so- so production. I am teching to canons to EVENTYALLY give me time to ... to... I was going to write "recover" or "get on my feet", but in all honesty it must be simply "time to live longer" :D Zanth/Gavagai have infantry and are teching Railroads for MGs frown In fact, after the Donovan turn-around, I had sent them a sheep for sheep deal and they took it, but I am still not sure how strong bind this can mean (like we have a NAP or something?) and further more they both are somewhat new to RB, so they might even not see it as anything like this. Anyway smile

The power picture:

I had my ups and now other take the top with the perspective not bright for myself.

I am moving galleys to eventually take the last island city of Jowi under Dick's nose. Lets see if this works out well :D

So much for now.

It sounds like you're having fun though, so that's good. hammer

You missed the [img] or [ screenshot] tag on your power graph:

How are things on your eastern border with the cartoon empire eliminated? Any problems with the new neighbor or is he an OK guy and won't have to die? popcorn

Yeah, thanks Xenu.

And in fact there are quite a few problems with my new neighbor. He combines quite boldly taking from my war spoils and having almost no units in defense on my border. Following he taking a city clearly on my peninsula, now he settled a city in between his last city and my newly acquired Cartoony capitol, claiming one of its good food sources lol

If I only had a way to know Zanth/Gavagai's intentions, Furungy was in deep troubles smile

In relation to this, how much value sheep for sheep deal have - is it like "We have a NAP" and how long is it supposed to have it's meaning after being signed? It is not like "forever", right? But cant say "well, this deal was for yesterday, today we see things different, so we cancel it"?

War with Nakor goes as planned, Invaded him last turn, moved catapults to the walls of the city this turn and now awaiting to see if I can take it next turn.

IMO those deals mean simultaneously whatever your trade partner believes they mean and absolutely nothing. I don't like them, they're disingenuous and totally non-binding. In PB18 we agreed before the game to not use them but people are anyway, so I guess its use is more or less enshrined now. Use it as you will, I guess. I wouldn't trust a deal like that for a turn, much less for any extended period of time.

Thanks for the clarification about resource-resource deals which are not purely resources deals. I understand they go against the spirit of the no-diplo and was wondering myself when they will be fully forbidden at last. Some guys had mastered them so well, that it was like full diplo without spending the time to write long letters with preambles and empty kind words.

I am still with mixed feelings, but well. I take it as better than nothing and yet, nothing real. smile
