That's the HE city... Why isn't it building more units? Even if you're going for tanks you need infantry support... By the time you take over comms land the games over and you don't need Versailles.
“The wind went mute and the trees in the forest stood still. It was time for the last tale.”
Man, having wishes is so complicated. I want to find Versailles near the middle of my enemy's territory. Because it's so expensive and thus hard to justify building oneself. But the cool thing about it is you can capture it. So the optimal situation is if your opponent builds it, maybe they move their capital so they can build it in the original capital city, I don't care. Point is you don't have to build it yourself because that would be silly now wouldn't it. ARE YOU HAPPY NOW
We're building Infantry until the overflow becomes overflowing, then we dump it in a building. Versailles is currently the most useful building to dump into because it lets us dump all the overflow hammers and should save us like 20 gpt.

From an outsider's perspective it did serve to give the original joke longer legs, complete with beautifully acted flounce from Seven to cap it off ... a good Saturday [strike]morning[/strike] afternoon giggle

Played turn 159.
Here are some of the various things that have been happening the last few turns that Gaspar didn't bother to mention, because he thinks we can't lose barring an egregious mistake. I think his attitude greatly increases his chances of making such a mistake. We are basically in the pre-WW1 naval arms race with Commodore. As of this EOT we have five Destroyers in the HC area. Last turn Commodore had his Destroyers staring down ours, but this turn he moved them out northwest. Not totally sure what he's doing here, but if they disappear we'll prepare for a wraparound attack. They didn't use all their movement and his three Transports (upgraded from galleys for 510! gold) didn't move though, so it doesn't seem like he's intent on doing that. I think he might just be trying to hide them. I also stuffed HC full of Airships and we may strike should he move back closer (they're currently just outside Airship range, which is really annoying because air unit range uses plot distance). We also settled the extreme border city of Silver Spire and stuffed it full of units. The main purposes here are to steal that town from Commodore and to house another four air units, eight if we can get an Airport in the city. Other than that, we're building Destroyers in ports, Wall Street in Cathedral, Broadway in Bastion's Keep, Machine Guns in a number of places, some infrastructure in commerce cities, and Airships in Leoric's Manor. Oh and we're also preparing Dahlgur Oasis and New Tristram to build Industrial Parks for the GE points to hopefully get our last GA. Commodore is still saving gold before he obsoletes Colossus. Mistabod made it to Railroad.
