I've played the save and both uploaded it to pbemtracker.com and sent it directly to Ruff. I've had problems with sending mails to gmail accounts in the past, so I hope it works this time!

got it, played it, sent it
I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

Sunrise, everything ok?
FYI: If I don't get the save by noon EST Monday, it'll be at least late Tuesday morning, if not Tuesday evening, when I'll get a chance to play. Off to DC for the Virginia Tech/Boise State football game. Go Hokies! (Sorry, Boise, the rest of the year I'll have no problem with you crushing all your foes beneath your feet. Just not tomorrow)

Yeah, I too thought five turns during the whole month of August was way too fast.

Hi all, sorry about that (and yes, I know "sorries" after the fact are sort of weak). At least I didn't even check the RB forum even once nor get on Gchat while I was traveling, it really was more or less a total isolation experience barring one turn played and then uploaded.
Anyways, wife, baby, and I drove down south to visit family last Tuesday night. We were behind schedule packing and I didn't have time to play my turn before I left, nor make a post here. We then had a busy schedule in Florida, compounded by my paternal grandmother apparently suffering a pair of strokes and being admitted to the hospital (awaiting more details once more test results come in this week). While playing would have been difficult (my parents' house doesn't really have a web connection workable for a PBEM this far into the game, therefore I need to drive to some sort of coffee shop or restaurant with WiFi and play there) considering the circumstances, I should have used my phone to post a note here. Hence the insufficient sorry now.

Thanks for the note, and all the best to your family!

I have Krill's save. I won't have time to get to it tonight but should be able to play it tomorrow night.

Hi I know I will probably get flamed and I know that people have their reasons for delays in turns, such as strike having his laptop stolen which has understandably limited his internet access, however due to only getting about one turn a week I am rapidly losing interest in this game.
1 turn a week means it could take several years to complete this civ4 game, when civ 5 comes out very soon.
I don't want to pick on anyone and I don't want to cause any bad feelings, but if the game speed does not improve dramatically in the very near future and does not stay improved I am going to drop out the game.
I know people do not want this as it will pretty much ruin the balance of the game and therefore throw the entire result, so I hope it does not come to this. Consider this my 1 week altermatum, if I do not see rapid improvements in this time i am out...feel free to apply on my thread if you want to take my place.

How fast is it that you want us to play? We're atm taking an average of 2 days for every 1 turn, which isn't really that bad.
