Wasn't there quite a few extra signups for pbem3? If there are another 6, they could play on the same map as pbem3. Or beg another map design.
I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

I think a few if the 'late' signups for PBEM3 got heavily involved in map design for the game. And tbh I think it would be better if it was something different

I have a RL friend who wants to play. He's completely inexperienced in high level civ tho so might just join with me.

I'll try convince him to go solo. Any other lurkers or anybody after your first ever game? This might be the perfect opportunity.

What's the worst that can happen?

Considering the other game is not likely to get off the ground, I'm tempted by another game if it is on quick speed.

Based off of this, he would only play if there were other people in a similar place to him. i.e. giving it a go for the first time. If there's not interest from this type of person then fair enough, i'll make him my slave *pimp*

Well, though I am honestly interested, I got the impression from the last discussion that the pace moves fairly quickly and these games are still big time sinks. I'm curious how some of you who already are in a few games are managing this.
