Not entirely sure what to do tbh

I could set up the cloud game myself, but do I have to keep the computer running? (not entirely sure how this works)

Just for the first turn, until everybody has picked as it is effectively still a network game. Once Bruindane has converted it to Play by Cloud and ended his turn, we are in sequential PBC mode so we get triggered in the menu when it is our turn (and an email)

We could try to align on a time on the weekend where we all are online at the same time to get the first turn done then as an alternative.

Or, if you all are on steam, I borrow the game and we start it directly as a cloud game and pick here in the forum (as the cloud game will be sequential so Bruindane has to pick his CIV first in game)

If the map is the same, I took screenshots of our starting locations and put it into our spoiler thread.

I didn't capture all the in-game settings, or check the available wonders. The game is not listed in the network game browser when I check a few minutes ago.

Yeah I can make my pick if the map is the same so we can get the game moving along
Otherwise maybe we try to find a time we can all be online and if I start the game from my computer we might work around the bug

I did save this time, so we should be able to get access back to this game.

I also set up the access to my wife's steam Old World version and will play from there.

Edit: or not as I can only load the game from my Epic account, do you guys think we can find a couple minutes on the weekend ti be all online at the same time so we can get the game going and transferred to PBC?

Alternatively we make a new game directly as PBC now that I have a steam version to play from

Okay I picked Egypt and settled the capital city, which prompted me to take my turn. I didn’t move anything, and forwarded the game to cloud. However for some reason it was now Bruindane’s turn, not yours Kaiser

So I went to the Host Controls menu and rewinded it to Player Kaiser and set Kaiser as host, but that didn’t appear to change anything because when I sign in it appears to be Bruins turn.

Maybe you just tell us what Civ you claim Kaiser and we work around that

Edit: maybe thats just because I'm on Bruin's team so I'm given his turn to play when I load the game
Anyhow Kaiser its up to you to go try it and see if it works

hm I think we need to be all online when transforming to PBC and Bruindane.

I think it It defaulted to him as he is Player 1 in our sequential order. I recommend to let Bruindane change to PBC, as he will be first player afterwards.

We can try to schedule a timeslot where we all can be online (from experience 20:00 - 23:00 UCT works for me and pacific coast on the weekend, could work as a late afternoon slot for CMF if he is not busy at that time)

Alternatively we start a new PBC game and I join it with my wife's Old Worlds (Steam version). In that case we need to see if we need to blind pick or if we can login and announce picks here in the forum

Not sure what hosting it on the wife's account solves vis a vis my connection problems. I think the best solution is probably to set aside a time where we can start the game with all of us online? 21-23 UTC (in 10 hours) works for me too
