Well, the plan in specifics is very much up in the air at the moment.
Current intended tech path:
Mining -> Bronze Working -> Pottery -> Hunting -> AH -> Fishing -> Sailing -> Masonry
I think we build Stonehenge without stone in this plan. I intend to run a sim using this path instead:
Mining -> Bronze Working -> Fishing -> Sailing -> Masonry -> Pottery
Positives to that plan: Almost definitely can land the wonders. Negatives to that plan: We can't build much of anything other than the wonders/workers/settlers. That's not the end of the world, but it does feel like a waste of Expansive.
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?

We don't build Stonehenge at all without Mysticism.

MM below. At T36 latest:
- 3 cities
- 3-5 workers (I'm lazy and made warriors T31 to T33/T34)
- SH (T35 or T36 depending if you can find 15 more beakers)
Worker actions need to be adjusted at T34 (2 chops need to be delayed by 2 turns if Masonry finishes only T35, otherwise only by 1 turn), but without sandbox it makes no sense right now as I don't know how much a new city will get you in terms of research (or if it will actually get you anything). Best is probably to not chop but mine the hills I moved the workers too (and actually move worker 2 to a forested hill instead of only into a forest). Either way, T36 you can one turn SH and if someone actually got it, you have at least not hampered your expansion too much (though the stone city is surely nothing to special, but with stone you actually can put Moai there).
and yes, I know I rather should update my own games

Oh, one thing: Are you really considering not improving a 3/3 tile with several other AH-tiles around? I mean, that is your best tile (due to expansive probably even better than corn) and you want to wait till T35+ to get it improved? Honestly, I think your cap has only two good tiles, thats the corn and the cow. I'd not wait to improve it like forever, just to get Pottery. Though getting Pottery after AH could be worth it... might be enough commerce if you cottage instead of farm the FP that you come out at nearly the same value at T35.

The sandbox files are right here, Serdoa: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/32632104/pbem29/...andbox.zip
You want us to not tech BW after Mining? That's...odd. Need to think about that.

We were tentatively planning to tech Hunting before AH (after Pottery), in order to give us flexibility to deviate to Archery if it looks like we need to. That might be a silly thing to do though.

Sorry, fixed the link. Direct copy and paste didn't work since it was abbreviated.

Well, I worked through 2 microplans similar to Serdoa's though without the fancy charts. Either way, the strict beeline seems unattractive - we land Henge on T34 in my best run at that but end up with 4 cities, one a total runt, 5 workers and finishing GLH around T50. I'm sure I could improve on that, but I'd guess ~T45 has to be the target for GLH if we want it. It may be worth waiting on henge and if we miss it, we miss it. But I'm going to do another few playthroughs before I decide anyway.

Okay, so basically we've been enlightened by Serdoa and decided the usual Bronze Working rush is probably folly on this map. We've come up with a modified plan that basically results in this:
Masonry (2t) is not researched yet, it's after Mysticism.
Details tomorrow, and obviously subject to revision and refinement.

Talk about the sim in a minute but first, turn 5!
We moved the scout and warrior and revealed wheat in the north and whales off the coast in the east. Here's the updated map:
Other than that we selected Pottery next and mashed enter. Not the riveting portion of the game, sorry.
