Took a look over at teh's thread, and damn, Sullla wasn't wrong when he said that they were following similar strategies. The dismay from teh when seeing that Sullla's pantheon choice was gone was highly amusing.
Surprise! Turns out I'm a girl!

My problem in general would be my abysmal PYFT-rating, which keeps me from joining any games here.
I'm in exactly this camp as well - though not for civ6, as I have neither the game nor a computer that can run it. I'd love to play in a casual no-pressure-to-even-play-your-turn-in-a-timely-manner Civ4 PBEM if we could find two or three more players, but I doubt if it would make it past the early midgame before just petering out. "A turn every two or three days or maybe it takes a week sometimes" can quickly become "Who has the turn this month? Wait, are we still even playing?"

Set up a pitboss with a seven day timer so that everyone can choose when in the week to play. Turns go as fast as the slowest player and won't get as stuck with clashing timetables the way they can in pbem. Caledorn's server has plenty of room.
Depending on settings I might be interested, but I'd also love to read your thread so it's a tough decision.
Completed: RB Demogame - Gillette, PBEM46, Pitboss 13, Pitboss 18, Pitboss 30, Pitboss 31, Pitboss 38, Pitboss 42, Pitboss 46, Pitboss 52 (Pindicator's game), Pitboss 57

Quote:The most interesting thing about this turn was TheArchduke purchasing that useless mountain tile to the southeast of Mediolanum.
This is when he could have bought a flatland tile across the river which a) would have opened a way for a flatland attack into Arretium, b) would have been a hilarious spot for an encampment + rushed walls.
Encampments can bombard cities, right?

This is quite sad. First, he could have settled just across the river, when spotting Sullla (he could have even reached the spot next to copper if he had planned that from the start). He settles at a bad spot, loses the copper race and buys a mountain tile?
Well, good for Sullla then.
Looking at Yuris and his latest update. It took him a long time to get to Lisbon. He is not aware of the fact that teh will box him in too and by then, his Jags might be useless.

Might be ... but is anybody other than Yuris teching Archery ... or any tech that enables decent units? I think Teh just has a warrior and a couple of Slingers so far. Unless he can get something better by purchase or upgrade, if Yuris acts decisively, those Eagle Warriors may yet allow him to break out.

Reading Yuri's and Sullla's threads I think the AI attacked out, killed a unit and then Yuri killed that unit and got a builder. If the AI didn't attack out then Yuri would take out the city, the warrior would have magically disappeared and Yuri wouldn't have gotten a builder. So Yuri traded a Jag for a builder and some XP.
Edit: Mis-read Yuri's thread, he got a builder earlier--so he just lost a jag. He probably took out the city with his last HP and the AI's warrior magically disappeared.

He writes that he gained 3 workers. That the warrier in the city was converted and he now has 2 workers in the city and one from before. Cant tell if he lost a jag or what Sulla wrote on lost health->lower army ranking is the case here.

The warrior in the city cannot be converted inside the city. When you attack a city in Civ6 you are attacking the city, not the unit. When you take out the city the unit magically disappears. You don't get a chance to convert. So the unit must have attacked out and killed a unit after all.

Yuri did not lose any units, he makes that very clear.
