I think Wet takes away far more choices then gives, it also has a tendency for making OLORAM a one right choice, and the slow movement is so depressing.
I'll get back to you later tonight. I've got Civ 6 reinstalled but haven't fired it up yet. I'll look at a wet map or two and cast my vote.

It's also more Marsh, which for me is the greatest negative.

Let me give you an example of what the "Wet" climate option looks like. This is the same map seed with everything identical except for the climate setting. First the default climate:
Now the Wet climate:
The map generation coding must have some strange stuff that goes on. The underlying map itself remains the same, but changing the climate apparently changes the starting location of every civ and city state, in addition to changing all of the resources on the map. The Wet climate has noticeably more forests/jungles/marshes, so if that's not something that interests you, then I'll make sure to stay on the default option. I didn't hear much interest for Abundant resources, and as a result we'll keep that turned off for this game.
Whenever you decide on your final civ choice, you can feel free to PM me in the same fashion that we did for the PBEM2 game. No rush there either, feel free to take your time.

Thanks, Sulla, that's helpful for an overview, and I really appreciate how your support the games here.
As for Abundant resources, I'm actually for them, it tends to make a wider range of pantheons viable, and resources aren't particulalry op in Civ6 anyway. Maybe someone could upload a couple of fogbusted screenies with equal seeds and Standard/Abundant resources.

Thanks, Sulla, that is a very good way to visualize it. I vote.....wet. I think it'll make for a contrast with PBEM 2 and it's something different to try.

If we play wet then OLORAM needs to be banned.

I am fine with banning Oloram, however I am not sure it is necessary as I see only few (4 if i counted correctly) additional marshes in the different settings. I am in for abundant as well.
Today I will finally have time in the afternoon to get into my decision making and will start on my thread.

I count 14 marshes versus 8-9 in that screenshot, that's a pretty massive increase.
If people can't be convinced to stay away from Wet then yeah, I would second Rowain's request to at least ban OLORAM.

I don't like having bans to worry about, so I rather we just play a standard, non-wet map. So, I'm changing my vote to abundant, new, non-wet.
By the way, I love those screenshots. It's so cool to see the same map with some minor differences, like the lake that became the Crater Lake in the second screenshot. It gives some nice insight regarding how the map generation works.
