Ruff_Hi Wrote:Here is a logistic puzzle for you ...
  • you have 4 warriors that you want to move from A to B as quickly as possble
  • you also have a galley (you can start that guy where ever you like)
  • A and B are both on a long stretch of coast (straight land on one row, water on the other)
  • assuming no roads and no normal movement, how quickly can you move the 4 warriors 9 tiles?

6T...

I knew I should have gone the whole teacher angle and said full workers must be shown!

Now for the follow up ... should we, as lurkers, point this out to Whosit?
I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

*I think SL had one turn where uploaded+ unloaded the same unit at the same turn. if this is possible then yes 6 turns else 7. (or I have overlooked some nifty trick wink )*

Edit: above statement is wrong and 6 turns the right answer.

Edit: A NO from me to your second questions but thats just me the one who thinks that there have been already far to many hints, tipps and warnings from lurkers in this game.

I think there is way too much unsolicited advice being given in the lurker threads. In the upcoming Spullla war, I really hope nobody starts pointing out tactical mistakes by either side. It would be 1) unfair, and 2) almost certainly spoilered, since you might not have noticed said tactical mistakes without knowing what you do about the other side's moves.

Indeed just figured it myself didn't occur to me at first that using only 1 move with the galley on the first turn is the best thing :-)

Edit: Do I read your Doc right that you used landmovement? That would be contrary to Ruffs no normal movement or?

Thanks, that's helpful. That allowed me to shave it down to 5 turns, and two warriors even moved 10 tiles... Now to try for 4 turns. (Or maybe do some work?) smile

Here's my solution (9/10 tiles in 5 turns).

Yup with land movement 5 turns but 4 i fear are not possible
