Superdeath wants to be the very best Piñata.

Decided finding the way towards noble is perhaps better. We dont seem to have any good sites that could share ( lol deer ) so, one that picks up the river rice and shares wheat would be fine.  ( please no jungle spread )
"Superdeath seems to have acquired a rep for aggression somehow. [Image: noidea.gif] In this game that's going to help us because he's going to go to the negotiating table with twitchy eyes and slightly too wide a grin and terrify the neighbors into favorable border agreements, one-sided tech deals and staggered NAPs."

Ye, for future games: When you have a coastal start it typically makes sense to start scouting from either side of the coast so that you don't end up in a situation like here where it's impractical to reveal the immediate surroundings around the capital.

In any case, that water SE might still be a big lake so the scout could make a large circle and still reveal the west of the capital in time. And if not, settling for wet rice + flood plains is not a dream 2nd city, but surely still a decent option. Or if you guys want to pink dot that riverside wheat + silver, or something else, just say. I'm here for the micro not macro duty  crazyeye

I think the rice and floodplain city as 2nd city, with a "pinkdot/ish" 3rd city by the wheat and silver. Hopefully capital or better the 2nd city has copper for axe support for that city..

GKC thoughts?

figure stay along the coast and wrap around, maybe meeting a neighbor down south? Id LOVE to plant 1N of the silver ( 1NE of the wheat ) with an archer for defense for the 3rd city... but that might be a bit ballzy

Hmm, that eastern layout looks really bad from your perspective. Grass hill silver is clearly closer to NobleGas and can't realistically be competed. And the plains hill silver is also 6 tiles from their capital and 7 tiles from yours..  shakehead  So if you would like to compete for the silver you either have to go for a very distant spot that SD mentioned (N of Silver) or settle for a very vulnerable flatland tile without early culture.

In essence, I don't think there really exists a scenario where you get half or more of the early game resources without significant prioritization / conflict. With current scouting info it's too early to say if that is the way to push, but at the very least if NobleGas go for the northern silver, you should take clams + whales or vice versa. And maybe then there can be a peaceful border.. If they try to grab everything then the guys have deserved a trademark superdeath rush..  crazyeye

Let's hope there is something in the west that can match the quality of a wheat-cows-silver city that NobleGas can settle if they want.

Can you make sense of this pic with little bit of staring?

Anyways the main things fro the next turns are:
  • Worker improves wheat ASAP
  • Build work boat after the worker. Work deer until wheat is improved and then switch to that
  • Tech Fishing after BW
I'm pretty confident that going for 2 workers before 1st settler is the correct play here, there is just that so much valuable stuff for workers to do. You should not be bothered if e.g. IMP leaders settle their 2nd city earlier. (I feel that 2nd city timing is overvalued by many players). The timing of the 4th city is already more interesting so let's try to get there in a competitive way and then pull ahead with cheap granaries.

if he goes for both silver, i rush him with a trademark superdeath rush still want a chance to win this and can be talked out of a rush in order to punish his greedy play in another way

Met serdoa, i know next to nothing about this player except that they more or less have to be to the south of us/noble. Also, they didnt put all there EP into 1 player after meeting more than 1 player.. so #noob

Copper location messes with our settling plan just a smidge... thoughts on where to go?
