I think it would take something like the PB49 cow on a different continent.
Work boats, challenging to access tiles, the benefits to worker movement, its a long list.
I hope this is not the only time we play a random game with advanced starts. I've run a good number of maps and there is a lot going for them for ancient, classical and mediaeval era games.
On topic: shall we give it until tomorrow evening, and then let scooter generate the map for us?
Given everything is random, so long as we don't roll for player 0 we can still discuss things. We don't need to know player 0 until the game is hosted.

I've been a bit busy and therefore haven't followed this thread closely, but it sounds like it's still a random map roll that you'd like me to do? I can do that. Can someone collect for me all the settings/script details in one place and what - if any - parameters you would like me to follow?

I'll get that done in in the next 6 hours ie after dinner sometime, unless someone does it faster.

Are there any map reroll parameters? Am I just taking the first one (barring Sid/Firaxis) even if someone gets MegaScrewed, or am I rerolling?
If I'm rerolling, what constitutes MegaScrewed and what constitutes AcceptableScrewed? There is no Totestra that won't screw someone, so I'm trying to gauge screwed tolerance levels.

Sid/Firaxis are the only reason for re-rolls I think.
Other settings look fine.

I wish there was a way to take Sid/Firaxis out of the pool, always feel sorry when I play a test game and an AI rolls one of them
But yes, bring on the chaos and complaints about RNG
