With the knowledge of no duplicates at all, I change to Unrestricted.

(I am willing to change depending on the method of picking, if someone has a good idea of how to do it)

(Well, you always have the option of snake picking. It's OK-ish, and you do need to pay attention to stop people from getting uber combinations though, but it's about as balanced as anything else save duplicates allowed).

So it seems that if we have no duplicates and restricted, that whoever picks #10 is going to be at a pretty good disadvantage. I was tossing around the idea of having some sort of auction for leader picking place. Like people volunteering to pay some amount of gold at some point in the game for the advantage of picking first - but i don't know how that would work

Just thought I'd throw that out there.

Edit: @Krill - but if we have no duplicates and restricted - there is no snake draft, right? There's only one pick?

Right. However since we're re-voting for Restricted/Unrestricted only, based on the vote in favor of No Duplicates then my team votes for Unrestricted.

Once this vote finishes we can discuss options for the picking system.

I am still waiting for a response from Iamjohn, but I personally would still prefer Restricted. However we would probably run into some troubles finding a way to select civs fairly (unless someone has easy-fix solutions?) considering that we are not allowing duplicates.

In that case, it may simply be easier and less complicated to go Unrestricted. I will wait for Iamjohn's response before making our "official" vote, should our vote matter.
