It's almost as far away as Pink dot. Of course, the difference is you have roads to it, I think it's a reasonable idea as long as you don't get punished for it.

I can chop t43 a quechua. and t44, t45 and t46. And I have visibility on any units approaching that means I will have 2 quechua in the city before any slow movers can attack the city. Admittedly, if there are chariots out I could theoretically lose the city tp them, but to warriors, or even axes, I'm safe as I can research Archery in 2 turns and can use the thousand warrior defence for a short while.
Pink dot was a second city, and 20 turns earlier, adjusting for game speeds. This is more...defensive. But yes, it's probably just as threatening. I'm thinking that the best moves after this are to tech IW then Archery (or other way around) Or maybe, maybe just rush to LB.

Yeah, well, I'm not one for only playing with 3 cities.
Screen shots for his turn:
Henge is mine, Mwahahahaha. SL, do your worst.
Finished Archery on overflow at 10%, could probably finish HBR in 5-6 turns. I'm not sure what the best move is here, need to think. LB are the best aim but are a long way away and I don't feel like playing defense with chariots and archers.

Well at the very least you were probably being mean to TT, assuming he went for it, being the only person who would actually gain any decent value out of its boon.
Well honestly I think that the Stonehenge build is actually pretty nice, not for the free Monument, but rather for the huge cultural bonus in that city which will provide great defensive (and offensive) possibilities in the future.
Somehow this reminds me of one time I played a really one-sided duel against someone in a private game long ago, where I chopped both Henge and Oracle (yeah, there were lots of forests and I was Ind) and built a Shrine in my 2nd city that I planted next to my opponent's capital (crappy Mirror script put us next to each other) and started stealing tiles...

That's actually the main reason I chopped it there, and went for Maths after finishing AH/Pottery. That city is pretty much safe if I get a decent defensive force there, and I got it early enough that mh isn't going to be able to plant offensively at all. I can plant to the NE of Henge for some more land, and if mh tries to settle up there (he has an isthmus that gets him onto that area) he'll have two fronts to defend that are really far apart, whereas mine cities won't be more than 6 tiles apart. It's worked out fairly well for me. NOw we just have to replay those turns...

So, Dazed declared war on TT, mh settled north so I've about 1 city site to the south I can easily settle, I traded maps with Dazed so can see most of the world. I settle city 5 next turn towards yuris, and that will be about it for western expansion. I'm going to have to settle north and east now, towards mh to block him in, and TT who is at war. Things should be quite interesting.
As far as the economy is going, I'm about last in crop yield, but that should change shortly as I'm growing my cities and I just slaved my 2 largest cities. I'm saving gold after founding Hinduism and Judaism (woot...) for a run to Feud and LB, and I have decent MFG and GNP it seems. It's an interesting game, yuris in particular is doing well on the number of cities front, although he did settle towards me cautiously. Not that I'm saying that's a bad move, he settled a pretty defensive city, that has good food res and I can't easily attack. I'm going to plant the same and we'll likely leave the rest of the rather dry peninsula bare. I think we'll both be happy with the split.
TT is pissing me off though. I'm going to be founding as many cities towards him as I possibly can...
