Fine, reporting...
t43 I got Currency, t44 saved gold and got a GS, t45 academy and max beakers once again. Teched Sailing and now on t46 I started Iron Working. Next turn IW, turn after Masonry, then 3t later Calendar. 4t after that I finish MoM, if it's still there. Probably CoL after that, hoping for a religion, but I'm not sure.
As mentioned, Pindicator (I'm pretty sure) got his scientist, and later he built the Pyramids. He also moved a c1+3xp warrior up to my southern border. I tried to warn him away by completely ignoring him with my own warrior (who moved south to pillage my desert windmill), but he entered my borders anyway so I ate him with a chariot. Yuri's scout moved next to that chariot the following turn (silly people...) but I left him alone this turn as a gesture of goodwill.
I also have a chariot roaming around the map scouting and pillaging, but he hasn't run into any enemies yet.
My capital: I just finished two cottage-chops into the Forum and also got 20h in 3t of slow-building it, so I will now whip it next turn. I prepared for this by getting to max food on avoid growth last turn and then growing this turn, so that as you can see I will be able to grow back quickly after the whip (2 sizes in 2t). The Forum is worth 2 happiness right now and will be worth 1 more fairly soon when I settle furs.
Trading post has just been repeating its 6t micro cycle, however there is a diversion planned in 6t more. After whipping the next settler I will be able to overflow into MoM and complete it in 4t with the help of 4 chops. Hopefully this is soon enough.
Menagerie just grew onto that forest, I'm not actually working that kind of crap. It seems that this city will soon be able to spit out workers and settlers quite efficiently too. I will have to figure out the best way to take advantage of that.
Hunting Party also just grew onto that forest, but here I think I will have to work it for a turn or two. My plan here is to get out a settler + galley for the island (it already produced a workboat). Best way to build those is settler for 2t, then 2whip and barely finish the galley next turn. But I'm wondering if maybe I should build a worker first. There is a chop that could be finished soon so this wouldn't delay things very long...
I'm thinking of this as my future NE city, as it has quite a few food resources. For the moment it's building a granary and lighthouse in quick succession.
Preparations for my next city, which will be settled in 2t.

... I have no idea how well I'm doing. So strange. I'm used to having a high score, but I'm not doing Pyramids this time. What's that you say, I can turn off research? I can save gold?? Incredible!
Anyway, high GNP is obviously due to deficit research with an academy on a tech 2 opponents already know (scooter and pindicator, I think, by the power graph). High land area means I'm slightly ahead of scooter in that respect, although he can do more gpt right now than me (he's making 43, I am only capable of 34). Highest pop is because I grew my cap to size 9 where it's unhappy, although it seems I do legitimately have the most pop for this brief moment.
Btw, I have yet to pay a cent of civic upkeep. I think if I were not organized I would be paying 4-5gpt on that, so that's not lagging far behind financial which would be getting me ~7gpt from this position and is not about to get me a bunch of cheap buildings.
Oh, and if I do get MoM and Confucianism as is the hope, I need to finagle a great person to start a GA and revolt into religion stuff, Bureau, and HR. For now I'm keeping it in mind.
