Epic Two - Eastern Gem Dealers - Info Thread

LKendter Wrote:How often are we expected to check for possible trades? I could miss by a couple of turns as I refuse to check trades every single turn.

I don't expect trades to be that hard to come by. Certainly once you have a deal going, you don't have to worry about that customer any more, as the AI won't be quick to cancel.

Check at whatever rate is reasonable to you. I wouldn't be checking every turn, either, although I might check a few turns in a row if I think a civ who is broke might turn up some cash flow soon. If that didn't happen though, I'd go back to periodic checks.

After a successful venture into Adv5, I will definitely press on and play this ... if I have time. Never played on Epic speed before (I presume it is Epic speed given this is Epic Two)... so may smoke a bit ...

Just a quick question, it says that any sources of gems must be mined and connected at the games end for it to count, does the same go for gold and silver?

Yes.

What about accepting a flip. Does that break the no capture / raze rule?

Flips are OK. That rule is aimed at aggressive warmaking.

Well the turns jumped from 1496 to 1502. Is my guess right that we would use 1502 for the "1500" scoring? I saved both years just in case.

They did? That's goofy.

Well, hmm. Assuming your observation is correct... If different people score on different dates, some will get an extra free turn in which to make more score. That doesn't sound good. I suppose I should pick one of the two dates. Let's go with 1502.

I'll have to familiarize myself more with the new patch. smile

Hi,

Just to confirm: It is correct. A lot of "uneven" dates are in Epic speed now...

Going slightly off the track, but still dealing with the Epic. I'll be starting it soon and am already thinking a bit on the layout. I'm very impressed with the way Kylearan is doing it.
Does anyone know some good and userfriendly sites at low/no cost where I can host my reports? Alternatively I'll just get everything ready and then make a post in the stories and tales forum on CF as I recall seeing some do in the past.
