Would be nice if DZ would ever update his thread, curious what his plans are. Also am i the only one thinking Superdeath still has a decent chance?

Have to agree with Lewwyn. The lurker thread and Commodore's thread will be a hard and hopefully educating read for Superdeath. But nonetheless the Commodore vs Superdeath rivalry turns out to be one of the most entertaining once since it started in PB38. With the jungle between them negating the speed from war chariots; Commodore's naval supremacy in the southern sea; Chumchu locked into conflict with Superdeath; Gav eating the discord team and DZ eating RegentMan I see no way Superdeath can get up to Commodore. I wouldn't say that Superdeath is killed outright, but he won't win this.

To expand: Both of them show a Power rating of #5 in the last screenshot I see. That's got to be outdated, they can't both be #5, but their militaries are similar. Superdeath is on the defensive, with at least a 6 turn transit time if he should choose to advance. They're both keeping 2-3 cities on military All of that adds up to a military stalemate for now and the medium-term future. Longer term, though: Superdeath is currently at a breakeven research rate of 9 bpt. Commodore is at a breakeven of...41, last screenshot I see. Superdeath is currently at peace with Chumchu, but at some point Chumchu will remind him he exists Superdeath has a happy cap of 7, Commodore has a cap of 9 Superdeath has no religion (and hence no religious civics) while Commodore has his own religion New Superdeath cities are an economic drain, new Commodore cities are probably instantly profitable (if settled coastal) due to wonders I see this as adding up to Commodore growing and teching much faster than Superdeath, which means that stalemate is to his ultimate advantage. Superdeath will die whenever Commodore gets to the next tier of military tech - probably Knights, unless he pushes a bit early with Maces or Crossbows off ships. Or unless one of the other neighbors gets involved, of course: Donovan could hit Comm, Gav could hit Superdeath. I don't think they would, but they're not reporting enough for me to be certain.

Then again, I was implicitly assuming Commodore's northern border was safe for the time being. Apparently that was a pretty bad error

Yeah, but then again, who would have thought that DZ, after conquering RegentMan and being in a war with Alhazard, would start another war with his last remaining neighbor.
