[TECH] Pitboss 46 IT and Tech Issues Thread

I'm trying to play for Adler. I can connect, pick his civ, put in his password, it downloads data, and then says that it requires 4.1.1.6 and has to reload.

I don't have any trouble logging into to pb47 (using that mod). Civ comes up in 4.1.1.6 just fine.

Any idea what's happening?

PB47 is the BUG mod isn't it? This game should use a separate version.

I didn't mean to imply that I was connecting using the bug mod. I installed 4.1.1.6 - I bring up civ in 4.1.1.6, I can connect, I just get told that it needs 4.1.1.6.

I even grabbed the version of 4.1.1.6 that is linked on PBSpy.

Windows pc? Can someone send you the copy of the mod they use to log in to make sure it's not a mod issue.

Was able to connect and play. Looks like the shorter civ names did the trick!

I have to head out in about an hour and won't be back for several hours after that. I still can't figure out what the problem is. As you can see from PBSpy, I log in and I'm logged in for nearly 2 minutes, but civ thinks it's the wrong mod. I really have no idea why.

which seems to imply something is wrong.

No, , that is completely right. We have the shorter Civ names due to network hub issues for pin when he is at his parents. Once you get to that screen select Adler's Civ and see if the password works.

ok - got that fixed. I had screwed up my shortcut, so it loaded \\RtR_4.1.1.6, which loaded fine. But now I get a message that pops up about files being protected. I can't get a screen shot of it or I would. Civ closes after that.

This is after I select the civ, enter the password and data is dowloaded, btw.
