Plains hill is a gamble but may have metal but grass hill nets you 3 food(eventually) bonii.

We already have BW and IW so we know there's no metal we can see.

I like the grass hill (for the 3 boni), except that it means we have ZERO hills in the BFC and since the west appears to be a deadend, it might make sense to settle east.

Still can't tell if this is an island or a peninsula that wraps around

Just logged in and they have 5 HAs, along with 3 chariots and the warrior all ready to tackle our 4 archers.

I can't see any way we can possibly beat that. So unless I hear something magical out of General Sunrise, I plan on just continuing the plan and praying to the RNG.....

But I don't expect to last to T83.

It's a bummer since it was just a matter of turns. 1 (or maybe 2) more turns and we could have had an archer out to help hold Paris. And now, 3 more turns and we'd have escaped across the ocean.

Ah well...

I agree we might as well let them slam us and pray for luck. If we do magically survive I like the 3-food grassland tile as well - settling on metal is better, but that doesn't appear an option.
