IMO mack makes a mistake if he doesn't declare on scooter at the agreed time. Not so much about this game but in future nobody would take his announcements seriously or plan on him staying to his word.

That is not how it works. It doesn't go from "100% sure he will declare" to "0% sure he will declare".

I'm pretty sure nobody remembers that mack once broke a NAP to prevent Commodore from winning a Culture Victory, so he'll come through this just fine

Not quite 100, but in two turns I'll have moved another 30 units into the stack. So likely 120-130 units. Not bad.

I decided not to declare war myself. I am sure he will do it. I would have wardecced if he hadn't moved all the grenadiers into that city. Last turn they weren't there and I was prepared to launch all the knights at it. Now, I'll wait for Mackoti and let my coastal cities burn. I will only protect 5 cities. The only problem is I expect I will lose trade routes soon enough and as a result a good amount of money. As it is I upgrade about 3-4 maces/muskets to rifles a turn.

doesnt sound like lewwyn cares about ww too much. Scooter is already onto the coastal evac plan... single units wont accrue battles wont acrue much for him, and he's going to make lewwyn bring the big fight in Viking culture.

Man i just cheked power graph looks like lewyn whiped alot and got a bunch of units, makes me feel guilty i think will asemblw a fleet withh 40 units and go and haras scooter...

also, that'll probably be enough to topple scooters morale if mack piles in. we'll see!

I'm really not in love with what lew is planning here. It isn't exactly good sportsmanship and certainly isn't playing in an effort to improve his standing in he game in any way. I don't think he should roll over and die for anyone, but not even trying to defend anything and gifting cities back to a game long enemy to spike the leader's tires and kingmake? I'm willing to concede abandoning indefensible coastal cities to the Vikings given all the inherent disadvantages in defending there, but the city gifts to Azza after all of this fighting really strikes me as poorly done if it actually happens. Sigh.

Yeah, the city gifts would be very unsportsmanlike. Leaving them undefended for Azza to recapture would be fine, I think - it would show wartime priorities. There's nothing inherently wrong with wanting revenge on someone for attacking you when you've enjoyed peace all game, as scooter did.
