Hmm, so far CFC has been very friendly towards us. If we can test their friendliness now with suggesting an EP spending agreement, I think we should do that. If they decline, well, we know at least what to expect. If they agree and later GSpy bomb us anyway, we have an even better casus belli.

Regarding the post to CFC forums. I belive we must be careful about what we write on WPC-Germans war. All the teams are possibly not aware of fighting and Germans would not maybe welcome a public info that they are attacked, or even the hint that somebody is attacked. (WPC turn player seemed to accept posting).

I agree that an EP deal with CFC would be helpful, and I'm pretty sure they would agree. I'll draft something up in a bit - I want to get current EP spending info from the turn-players. I'll go request that in the turn discussion thread.

Current accumulated EP as shown on T71:
Team / Target | RB | WPC | German | CFC | RB | - | 24 | 32 | 96 | WPC | 0 | - | 40 | 56 | German | 2 | 64 | - | 0 | CFC | 64 | 44 | 0 | - |
The team spending is shown in the rows, with the target in the columns.
Furthermore, I consider that forum views should be fluid in width

The sweet spot is at 43 vs. 43 EPs were both can see the other's graphs.

That's only true if both parties are producing the same number of overall EPs. If one party builds a lot more/earlier courthouses (or runs slider) than the other then that party gets lower costs and the other party gets higher costs. This is universal and does not matter if you are spending the EPs on someone else. See my thread in 38 for details.

Ok, the initial sweet spot relevant for current negotiations is 43 EPs then.
I hardly pay any attention to the mission cost modifier.

Received from the Germans:
Quote:Greetings,
our wise men saw that coming, reading in the lines and the stars. So
we were not caught flat-footed, but the gods took their due anyway.
Hard times are coming and going and our terraces are built for
eternity. The high council found that we will emerge from this war
stronger and keener than ever.
But, off the record, some war chariots wouldn't hurt, to free
ressources from which the trade routes can be built.
I sincerely hope you do not maintain diplomatic relations with those
barbarians, as it would be a waste of paper and quill.
Best regards,

Heh, the Germans read in the stars and "saw it coming" but... had an undefended city. Funny!

wow this is clever, and tricky. Obviously we can't provide them with war chariots, and wouldnt want to anyway (WPC is not so dumb they wouldnt be able to figure out where war chariots came from.. even if we had horses).
I don't really think they expect us to give them/trade them war chariots, but they are testing where are diplomatic loyalties really lie. Respond with caution .
if we feel pretty secure atm, and our confident we can at least get horses in the next 15 turns or so, maybe we can even feign inabiity? sorry chums, we can't find horses . Or maybe thats just giving tmi, I'm not sure.
Please don't go. The drones need you. They look up to you.
