* I've already proposed an EP agreement with CFC, we're waiting on their reply. They'll probably be fine with it I imagine.
* I also tend to agree with kalin that we should just quietly let WPC and GWT do their thing and not get involved.

Agree with this. All the German bashing in the Rant Thread aside, the Germans might come out of this war ahead of WPC. Any WPC assistance from our side that gets revealed by "accident" might backfire, since we assured the Germans we stay strictly neutral.

Honestly, what would even constitute backfiring? An economically backwards civ gets mad at us so we eat them for breakfast in 75 turns?

We don't know anything about the situation in 75turns. This is a diplo game after all. Anything can happen.
Why risk it?

I think the biggest risk by far is that the game will just fall apart because of the germans moving so slowly.

It could also fall apart because the Germans quit.
It looks like the French have voted in favor of the German position. Its almost like the real world .

Or maybe they're just voting against the American position? Maybe we should clarify that we're multinational?
I have to run.

My reading of CivFr's stance was that they don't like shortening the turn timer, but that they will support it unless the Germans shape up.
Furthermore, I consider that forum views should be fluid in width
