Yeah, there's really not a huge downside to leaving both alive for now, that I can see. Though it would take a while before the results of said scanning would become public. I imagine tomorrow both of them would claim, "Guys, the seer scanned me tonight and now knows I'm real!". Factor in the fool if there is one and it could all become pretty confusing.

Yeah I kind of think there's a fool baner. I was trying to think of ways to tell them apart - would something like this work?

Both MJW and Sandover PM their original PMs to (the same) say 4-5 random other people. That way at least one of them should be a villager (hopefully several).

Then if one's the baner and one's a fool baner, you'd think they'd have the same PMs. If they're different, then one's probably a wolf

Still doesn't tell you WHICH one is a wolf, but at least it gets out more information, and that seems always a good thing if you're a villager

I thought all the role PMs were made public somewhere? (Don't know where though.)

If not, then finding the wolves isn't much of a challenge.

I've always played that it's illegal to send or post your exact role PM transcripts, because that would make it too easy for villagers to find out who you are. Basically they can say to everyone "post your PM or we don't believe you".

The way i've always played is that if you want to post your role PM you have to paraphrase the message. So you aren't allowed to post it exactly like it is, you have to write it in your own words. That way you can describe what kind of role you have, but not use this as a way to find out all wolves on day one.

Selrahc did this for Werewolf 1. fire&ice hasn't publicly for Werewolf 2, unless it was in each PM along with the actual role assignment.

Alright, so based on the reading, we (the village) are about to take an insane gamble which could swing the game wildly to one side or the other. The only way to prevent this gamble firing today, is for Sandover not to be lynched. I have 4 votes. I know I am a villager, which is the typical day1 victim, so minimizes damage (but is still an evil, as compared with getting a wolf).

Sadly, I don't see a better option. If you believe that the vote should wait, you should vote for me.

Uh Sareln, if you just want to get through the round without having to make a decision on the baner, than everyone should simply No Vote. You'll lose a person in the night, but you'll at least avoid killing a villager for no reason. Even better would be to vote for someone who isn't yourself, since you've got about a third chance of picking a wolf.


Of course this helps make Sareln look innocent if he's actually a wolf, but it's probably way too risky to be worth it.

I gave Sandover an uncommon phase from my seer role PM. He did not notice it. Sandover is a werewolf. There is no false baner. Sandover may be a godfather trying to get scanned.

There is no way that F&I would not post all the role PM's if there were a fool role.

MJW then immediately edited seer to baner.

I'd lynch MJW right now. Even if his the baner, he won't help at all. All his posts make me go "WTF!"...

If the seer scry MJW and find out that his the baner, he won't be able to contact him, because MJW will probably reveal it to the first wolf who asks.
