Well, I have to go find all the crap my kids broke while I was sitting here hitting F5 and talking to Krill. I should do this before my wife gets home, so I don't get broken myself.

Well, that was fast Certainly bodes well for getting turns turned around I guess.
I'll take the Ottomans.
Any definitive word on baning blockades? It looks like we have 2.5 teams in favor at this point.
Finally, the email I'll be using is shootthemoonrb [at] gmail. Do we have/want a tracker for the game?

I'm for banning coastal blockades as well.
So these settings are the ones agreed upon, IIUC:
Map settings:- 5 players
- Quick speed
- Custom Continents, one continent per player
- All continents are galley reachable by every other player, without having to go through a 3rd continent
- Intermediate islands between continents
- No coastal capitals
- Continents are not exactly the same but are balanced
- "Lush" settings, with extra resources (maybe each continent has at least one of every resource?)
- Monarch difficulty, or toroidal Prince
- Huts off
Other game settings:- No Tech trading
- Events off
- No permanent alliances
- No vassal states
- Default Starting Units
- No barbs
Rules- No active Espionage (great spies must be settled / GA)
- No nukes
- The Heroic Epic and West Point can only be built once you have a qualifying unit that has always been yours, and if joined to a GG, the GG was one you spawned yourself
- No restrictions on settling only on "your" continent
- No corporations
- Diplo and screenshot trading allowed after having met in-game
- No coastal blockades
I have to run.

Why aren't there more Medieval/Industrial Era PBEMs?
In Soviet Russia, Civilization Micros You!

Agreed. The one Myst set up in PBEM 8 has been awesome, I'd definitely like having something along those lines.
