[Spoilers - Flauros (sunrise089 and darrelljs)]

Oh its dead. He killed two axes and a Warrior without losing any non-summoned unit. I suppose he will slowly whittle it away. I asked sunrise089 (again) to look at the save and see if he has any suggestions shhh.

Ouch. So the stack is dead? Is it Kamakazi time on the capital, will it stay there and defend or retreat?

At least you get vampires soon. They are a quantum leap in fighting power. Do you prefer to mass produce vampires or feast them into super units?

Its not totally dead, but its going to be soon. I asked Amelia what was going on and got this:

Amelia Wrote:We're entering his borders in 2 turns. It looks like he'll be using his PoL and Tigers to stop us though.

So, no surprise a CoW fails due to improper coordination. As sunrise089 mentioned, we just lacked the time or inclination to herd cats. I don't see our outlays in this conflict as catastrophic, the one who really got screwed is poor Serdoa. He built a lot of Warriors, sacrificing goodness knows what in terms of expansion, and now has an angry neighbor with well promoted disciple units on his border.

We discussed the Vampire plan. I think the goal is to get Mobility/Death 2 for sure. The question is do we want C4/Commando as well? Its a lot of feasting and do to our small size we aren't exactly swimming in population. My preference is to go for more vamps, less promotions, an feast the crap out of captured cities. We still don't have a target however.

uberfish Wrote:As a sign of good faith I'm happy to offer a NAP to t150 at this time. It seems that after the dust settles from the current operation Ilios will still be #1 and the two of us #2 and #3, and therefore it makes no sense for us to fight each other.

You are welcome to settle the 2 FP site north of Adonias if you like, although someone will probably have to raze the barb city of Ninisnal.

So one flank secure and one last city site is ours. I have a bloodpet heading that way. Overview shot form t103:

I traded Ale to Amelia for Ivory, so our happy cap at Prespur is 14. Nice, eh?
Vamps in 2 turns hammer. Which is good, because our army is almost dead:

Do you think Ilios will attempt to push into Balseraph territory after the demise of your alliance's troops?
How is it going over the Lanun front? Any news?

I expect he will try, but I think Serdoa can fight him off. Last update I got from Amelia, she expected to take a city in two turns. I have not received any screenshots or troop mixture.

Last of our bloodpets? Dead. They're dead, Jim. Dead. In other news:

I adjusted for the Governor's Manors hammers which are not reflected in the production numbers. Feudalsim comes in at the end of next turn. Prespur has a Granary and Breeding Pit on that turn. In fact all our vamp cities have builds completing that turn hammer. In I believe 6 turns we get an Academy. That should add about 40 to our GNP. As soon as Feudalism comes in I will go to all cash obviously.

Banner turn. Just banner.

uberfish to Calabim Wrote:Serdoa apparently told ilios everything and blamed you for instigating the war. Since he knows way more than he should. I don't suppose you happen to know what kind of peace terms he agreed to?

It seems obvious that ilios will go after amelia full force, don't really want him getting more land there but doesn't seem like either of us can do anything about it in the short term...

Calabim to Ilios Wrote:I heard through the grapevine you were told we were the ones that instigated this little adventure? Is this true? Also, looking at exactly what happened, do you really believe it?

Calabim to Serdoa Wrote:So I saw you got peace? What were the terms? Should we try and get peace as well? You ready to do the capture Worker/peace thing now that our stacks won't bump?

I think we have 9 turns of NAP with Serdoa. Just saying. Oh, and this:

I'm looking back over our old communications, and while we were the ones that started the tall poppy e-mail that included all teams, that was because we had contact with Amelia as far as I can tell. Serdoa, uberfish, and Calabim all expressed concern over Ilios and over time it just got more and more bellicose. The only reluctant party to this whole exercise was Amelia, the rest of us were pretty equal in our support for it. Calabim and uberfish did complain to each other we had nothing really to gain, but we were still willing participants because otherwise we thought Ilios would run away with the game.

Anyway, that's not really the point. Assuming Serdoa really did blame the whole thing on us, the problem isn't whether it was true or not. The problem is how can we trust someone when we think we are cooperating together, and then they turn around and sell us out at the first sign of trouble? Now again, we have no proof Serdoa did this, but at the least we have to be very careful until we can confirm or deny it.

One caveat - uberfish is often a werewolf, and they're treacherous. wink
