I would be interested in joining as a teammate. I would need someone who can play the turns, though.

I could be a ded-lurker variant. I'm too lazy to post much, but i'll happily chat to you regarding the game on gmail every now and then. I'm also happy to only read your particular thread. This is pretty much the relationship i have with v8mark in PBEM15.
Basically, you can use me as a soundboard and i'll give you thoughts etc, but don't expect me to do your worker micro

FWIW, if you are going to play CTON with the base game, well, you're going to have to be very careful with the settings you choose. Might want to check out PBEM4 vets and PBEM8.

Cannot Talk Or Negotiate
Here are your knives, here are your neighbors, go get 'em.
Comment: This is not a helpful comment, I've not played any CTON's before. Not an authoritative source of MP knowledge.

CTONs are fairly simple games that you only have to open the save, play, hit end turn and then send hte save. There is nothing else to do outside that, that you 100% have to do, and so CTON games are good for those with little time. However, there are downsides to this: even if the game doesn't have Always War enabled, you are effectively stuck playing AW because you can't work out border treaties, NAPs or the like, but this doesn't mean you will be at war from t0, if you play safely. You do have to be on your guard though.
I would be willing to go out on a limb and say that it's a game type that most people on RB that haven't played extensive amounts of MP actually have (or would have) a lot of difficulty playing right. I think PBEM4 is a perfect example of just how lopsided these games can become. They are still fun though with the right group, 1 turn a day and a decent map.
