GES, you're up!

Yeah, I loaded the save up to have a look around, but I haven't had time to play.

Luddite, should I be invading Charlemagne, or just holding him off and amassing troops to kill him once marines arrive?

We might as well invade, since we're so far ahead in tech that he's no threat at all. But first we need to actually build some ground troops.

T229: Trade mission in Kyoto for 2100 gold. I wonder if the TM value drops when ToA expires? Traded a 2/2/0 coast for a 0/4/3 uranium mine at Sangria.

T230: Customs House starts in capital, which should be worth 8 base cpt.

T231: Flight in. Onto Rifling. Then I will start on rifles which should convert to infantry before they finish in most cities. Buffalo Trace finishes destroyer, onto a temple to cure unhappiness due in 2 turns. Need some worker turns there to get the RR hammers. Transport finishes in Harrapan, onto our first carrier.

T232: Just building.

T233: Reject trade request from Ramesses, Military Science and 20g for Steam Power. Producing a few muskets to be infantry.

T234: Rifling in. Need Corporation for Assembly Line which will obsolete TGLH. That will probably cost us 80-100 base cpt. Yuck. Has to be done I suppose. I will tech Artillery first.

T235: OOH! Awesome! Ramesses just declared war on Caesar. The most advanced tech nation just DOW'd the biggest threat to us. Lets hope for a long bloody slog which will let us clean up everywhere else. Building Trebuchets for when Artillery comes in.

T236: Adopted Emancipation for a few turns to help with unhappiness. Can go back to Slavery on the next turn set to whip Artillery or troops.

T237: Caesar comes begging us to war with Ramesses. I refuse. Artillery in. Running 1 turn of cash. Might do Biology next to avoid obsoleting TGLH. Can build Artillery, ships and fighters in the meantime.

T238: Caesar comes begging for us to convert to Buddhism. I refuse. He is going to be pissed. I just realize we somehow lack iron in our whole empire. I am going to get us an iron mine and then we can put Ironworks somewhere (Maoi city maybe?).

T239: Sold marble to Caesar for 15gpt. Biology due in 2 turns. We can speed it up 1 turn with a GScientist or save for a 3-GP GAge. At this point, GMerchants are worth about 4-5 times what a GScientist is worth to us. GScientists bulb about 2,200 beakers, but a GMerchant allows us to run max science for five turns, which is worth about 8,000 beakers.

We need Assembly Line and Industrialism now, and it will be rough on the economy to get them. Once we have them, I suppose we can transfer into Police State for production, Universal Sufferage to buy stuff, and maybe Nationalism for the draft, and then back out of those civics to tech with Representation.

Doing well still. Caesar has slowed down.

With RR mines, our Maoi city is very nice:

The capital and Pisang will benefit a lot from Biology:

Our part of the world:

The rest:

You can see that we have a lot of land to conquer to reach the Domination limit, because all of our cities are coastal.

Looking at that world map, should we declare on Ragnar first? His lands are close ours, he is weak, and his land is very green. Speaking of which, looking at that large overview, our land is shit. All tundra and plains.

Okay, going to play. Modern warfare isn't my strength, so I'll see what I can do.

Just hit end turn to see what happens:

T240:

Sure, why not, we needs war now! lol

T241:
Biology in, back to 0% science and Electricity next. We need to fix happy problems as well and we need it for Industrialism.
Just building troops mostly.
And the war ends by vote! Charles voted in favor of ending...

T242:
Decide to swap civics for 5 turns, Slavery, Theocracy and Vassalage.
That means whipping time for navy and figthers!
So we whip... a lot....

T243:
And we order new builds. Got to run the cultural slider due to severe hapiness problems. Will get worse!
Decline a lot of deals with everyone. They want our oil...

T244:
We got our GM, so we could start a 3 person GA. Not going to do it.

T245:
Got Iron connected and start IW in Maoi city.

T246:
Building...

T247:
Another round of whipping and then back to the original civics.

T248:
New builds all around...

T249:
Electricity in, Corporation next, finally!
Also time for the Luddite to take charge and get us in fighting position.

Sorry for the brief description, not a lot going on...

Nice use of the whip.

Time to screw our economy.

Can we still use that GMerchant to get Sids?
