I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

Thanks! Now that I've installed it, how would I play Civ4 using the classic graphics without uninstalling it?

And how would I uninstall it if I wanted to?

That all depends on where you have installed it to. I have mine installed to my 'my docs\civ4\customassets' folder. To play with classic graphics, rename customassets to 'customassets-bluemarble' (or similar). This means that the game will start with no customassets (ie classic). If you have any other mods in your customassets folder, they will not start either.

To uninstall, delete the files created during the installation process. Again, if they were installed in customassets (and they are the only mod you have there), just delete the customassets folder.

Hi,

sooooo Wrote:And the for results which are not yet collected:[...]
I actually had compiled results for Adventure 14 and 15 and sent them to Gris already, but they never made it to the main page. Thanks for doing the other results!

I won't compile any more results for some time though, and I'm also not in the mood for playing CIV right now (as you might have noticed from my lack of reports and my absence from SGs). Things went not so well for me in RL during the past months. First my mother had been in critical condition (she's fine again now), then my wife had a miscarriage, which really dragged me down. I think I will return to CIV at some point, and in fact loved the concept of Adventure 19, but not yet.

Kylearan,

I'm sorry to hear about your recent rough times! I'm glad that things sound like they're going better now.

You were always much more responsible with results than I was. I'm sorry for being such a flake.

I'm very sorry to hear things have been so rough on you as of late. I can't imagine what it must have been like to have do deal with that all at once. Hopefully you can have an equally positive turn of events to at least help you recover from what must have been a very trying time. I'll look forward to seeing you around here more when you feel once again in the mood.

Kylearan,

Sorry to hear about your difficulties. FWIW, my wife had a miscarriage on our first attempt. I well remember the depression we both had over that, and to come on top of a serious medical problem with your mother must have been doubly hard. According to our doctor a miscarriage is often a natural mechanism of the body towards something that is going wrong. We had to wait six months before trying again, but our next two attempts worked out perfectly and I'm sure yours will too.
