There has been quite a bit of diplo lately. Trying to agree upon the land/city split, even if the split target is still alive and might still be quite a few turns. Serdoa has enough units to cause some havoc especially, if he focuses on siege and picks his targets wisely (he haven't been doing that - WK clearly has the most vulnerable units, but he hasn't hit those). Basically I'll be also getting a city called RockyHorrorShow that is west from Serdoa's capital +100g. Mackoti gets the capital itself and he pays also some kind of compensation to WK that they're not willing to reveal (makes me a bit nervous).
[SPOILERS] Don't mention the war

Serdoa left Leptis empty so I captured it. Apparently he is collecting all his troops to his capital. According to WK there are 3 GGs and 11 Grenadiers and 33 muskets there. He doesn't have much siege. Serdoa has lost all the cities in the north already to WK and 2 cities also to Mackoti. I've totally screwed up my Communism run with bad planning (read non-existent). Not enough money or beakers. Mackoti is surely getting there before me.
Leptis's position is pretty bad right now. Izmir's culture is going to cut it off from the rest of the empire.

No fights this turn and I moved few units close to Serdoa's cities near capital. I can potentially take 1 of them unless Serdoa reinforces, but obviovusly I really can't defend them so taking them might not be the wisest move. Meanwhile our attack seems to be fainting a bit. WK is clearly focusing more on infra and not sufficiently intrested in to capture Serdoa's capital. Mackoti is serious, but his stack is slow and he wants to put it through Utica that delays the final battle. Well I decided to convert again to Nationhood to draft few muskets. Let's see, if I can get somewhere with those. Mackoti has Liberalism and presumably next turn SciMeth and turn after that Communism. I took Banking and now I need to decide where to use my hefty beaker overflow. I also got Scientist so I could also take Communism that isn't that bad option. Alternatively I could go towards Democracy and try to land SoL. Final option is Rifling, but I think focusing on economy might be best at this point.
Any word on the NAP with WK? I'd focus on grabbing the cities we're supposed to get and then build some infra.

Sorry for lack of updates. There is lot of intresting things occuring and my normal level of reporting feels just too underwhelming so it seems I'm not reporting at all. Game is moving slowly. Many of the players taking regularily 24h to get it forward. This is understandable though because of the war. Here are some unrelated notes from previous turn from memory - if there is intrest I could reload the save to take screenshots.
I had half a dozen Cuirassiers looking for trouble in Serdoa's land. Serdoa responded via almost emptying his capital and moving all his units towards west. There is a big stack in RockyHorrorShow and smaller in Cats. He also used 1 GG to create formation grenadier and killed one of Cuirassiers and recaptured Leptis (I had just 1 musket there). WK made a big mistake in Carthage where he left his mounted stack last turn. Now Serdoa's RockyHorrorShow stack can kill it. Serdoa's problem is lack of siege so he'll probably lose something, but WK will essentially lose half of his army. TMIT is moving suspiciouly. It might be that he plans to hit Mackoti. His power is already at same level as all but Mackoti that is clear leader there. I've converted to Nationhood and decided to put beaker overflow towards Rifling. Mackoti will land Communism, but I think someone needs to get proper units against Grenadiers and Cavalries fit in well for that purpose. I lose a lot economically compared to Mackoti and also WK who is teching Constitution, but it seems I need to do this sacrifice to get the war to completion.
ne need to get old saves but if you can take some screenies the next time the turn arives it would be appreciated. As there aren't many rreporters left here I want to thank you foryour reports

Mackoti will get Spy and 9T of golden age + State Property (easily worth ~100 gold/T). Not sure I can catch up him after this, but whatever: "If they're not up for the job I need to do it". |
