KingOfPain Wrote:Wyrm, make your call and I will change my bar accordingly I'll give minions a go. I won't be able to run Deathly Swarm though because I need to keep a couple spots on my bar available for interrupts.
Right now, my bar is Bone Minions (which costs 15e, btw, not 10 like Fox inferred), Death Nova, Taste of Death, Power Spike, Leech Signet, Mantra of Flame, Blood Ritual, Res Sig.
I can drop BR if KoP is going to have that and possibly MoF, but one of the problems at the end is the Searing Heat from the Savants, so MoF is something I'd like to keep.

Congrats guys! Too bad I couldn't be there this time. I guess you guys did it by the luring method rather than the usual run up to the docks method?

Yeah, we followed Fox's advice and stayed out of Vizier Spawning Range, eventually accumulating a huge mess o' White Mantle.
It wasn't pretty - Arty needs to work out more, he wasn't much of a HardBody tank. Though the damage output of the Savants was pretty impressive. As he was taking one of his many dirt naps, I admired the "Searing Heat x45" indicator on my screen...
But Stubbornness eventually triumphed! Woot!

Hope you can make it next week, Zed. Although the subs are turning out to be ubernoodists; I can't wait for us to get to Droks so we can include them as perms. You missed a rare sighting, one that 5 of us have seen for the for time - The boat don't just pop out of the water, it rises slowly ever so slowly out of the water.
What's the plan for the Desert? Do we want to get to each of the 4 mission areas by ourselves and meet up, or fight there together?

I think we need to fight it out. Anything else won't count as really "completing the game". It will become a non-issue once we move out of the desert anyway, the pace will pick up and we'll be done prophecies before you know it. However I'd suggest we only take skill quests that are conveniently on-the-way to whatever outposts we need. The rest of you scallywags can either quest or buy it yerselves. ![[Image: tongue.gif]](http://realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/tongue.gif) You'll need to get used to this anyway for capping elites later.
I suggest we start over to augury rock, maybe pick up a skill quest or two along the way, and head for destiny's gorge. From there, get the skill quest that leads to the 15-attribute quest ASAP. This will earn our team another 15 attribue points to spend. Any leftover time we can spend trekking to more outposts.
We need an alternate to geo-tanking for areas (like prophet's path) with jade scarabs, who carry chillblains. Warrior skills like disciplined stance, shield stance, bonetti's defense etc. paired with 2 pure healing monks with Kiss is the best I can come up with. Scourge sacrifice on a non-monk primary will help disable the jades' dangerous touch skills quickly. A geotank might also consider balanced stance if timing between hydra meteors is a problem.

Maybe it's Wyrm's time to shine. Let him grab full aggro and be right up front with a melee weapon. His N/Me is ideal for the job. I say an i for an eye and let dem scarabs have a taste of their own medicine.
Mantra of Frost (Chillblains),
Shatter Hex (Parasitic Bond),
Plaque Touch (Plague Touch),
Epidemic (spread returned poison)
Hex Breaker
Signet of Weariness
Nrg management
Res
Other idea, Chaos Storm with Deep Freeze from Arty, and MoP from Vex
and still 38 more skills to choose from

I'm sorry, have I got this right? 8 months in sanctum kay, and now you're going to breeze through the desert? What am I missing? Are you lifting some of the variant restrictions? You are still limited to 6 nude chars. I regularly get my ass kicked in the desert, and that's with heroes and armour (Plugs ears to block out cries of "noob, noob")
Kudos to you all, btw.

As far as i know they were not able to beat Sanctum Cay 8 months ago and did start another variant after that (the LoL team). That variant recently made their goal and they continued with the nudist variant.
Anyway.. Good job to all of you beating Sanctum Cay. I think that the mission in the dessert are going to be a pain as well.
In Dunes you have to kinda kill fast because of the incoming groups. And in Elona you have the 30 minutes time restriction as well which can become hard.
Thirsty isn't going to be that much of a problem i think since you have all the time in the world

The issue in Sanctum Cay was that you have to kill at a certain rate and can't just take your time. We worked around that last week not by killing faster but by figuring out a way in which we could get more time... so we haven't really solved the issue. I agree that certain timed missions in the desert could be a problem... but at least now we will have a couple elites to help.
