This is what Cyneheard proposed:
Quote:My proposal: 20x20 all land (lakes and peaks OK), above-average resources. Stronger cities...and basically no choke points. No wrapping or toroidal, depending on how evil we want to be.
20*20 is a TBG Tiny map. Set to Toroidal, rocky, all that needs doing is replacing all of the starting units, add a few rivers, turn some/all of the desert to grass or plains, improve the tundra and snow to plains/grasslands/flood plains. Add some resources around so there are multiple city sites that make sense, make sure that there are decent amounts of food res around (don't want there to be two outstanding double food sites with horse/copper for example). Then balance the starts and everyone is ready to go.

For contemplation and meditation. Forests might grow, grasses might wither into dry plains, but some distant day you might have a start that looks like this.

Now that's more like it.
Cheers Commodore.

Nah, that's harsh, the start is actually pretty good. Need to figure out when to tech Fishing though...unpillagable food is great on this map...

The downside of knowing everything is an identical start is I can probably say how Cyneheard will play out the start for the first 20 turns. He goes wb first, and probably BW>Agri. The crabs are hooked t7, grows eot t9 (revolts t10, though he can actually revolt t9 but there isn't any reason to). Then builds a worker at size 2 until t14 when it is 1 pop slaved, agriculture finished eot t14, t15 though t18 the worker farms and the second pop is regrown eot t17, just in time to work the wheat.
I don't have anything remotely that fast.

Actually, tell a lie, Agri>Fishing and worker first is pretty decent. Agri>BW might even be better.

Lurking with interest.
How far would you guess the game will progress before a winner is decided? 3cc is pretty novel for me
