FoxBat Wrote:- Wait on some folks to return with GW:EN (end of summer) We could pursue a different variant for the time being (maybe BAR one) that is more hero-friendly and therefore doesn't require a large numbers of players every single night.
That option would get my vote. I think it would be sad (in the sentimental sense) to continue on without the members that added so much character to the variant. Whenever I think of Nudists, I picture our characters with the wacky festival hats on - I certainly won't forget that it was KoP who started that. Nudists wouldn't be the same. No offense to Jude or any other guests, but I'd much rather wait until we get the original crowd back together (and then of course Jude and guests are welcome to continue streaking with us).

How about not diving into another variant right away, however? Why don't we take a few weeks to just do some fun stuff that we never seem to make the time to do as a guild - like DoA, UW or FoW? Or Tombs? That would get more people in right at the outset, without the requirement of a weekly commitment.

Persuasive and full of good ideas as always Hawkmoon. wink I'll suggest we start tommorow with something I know and can lead, which is either Tombs or Fissure, unless a veteran seasoned in other areas can show up at that time. The areas should be a quicker blast with some of the amazingly powerful skills added in the latest update. Maybe in a later week we could try my wacky mostly-paragon team in the Deep. I was talking to Warblade and others about starting a graveyard shift BAR run (since that's the only other time slot I have open). We had some concerns about the current set but I think we need to just run with it and fine tune the rules as we go.

The problem why we don't quest together more is mainly the instancing system that GW uses. I am not saying it's a bad system, just the way it is. We will never see people just log and be able to jump in a game already in progress like we did in Diablo.

And the limited amount of character slots plays a major role too. The old regs in Diablo usually like to make a bunch of characters and leave them at different stages so that they will have a closely matched character to join most any games in progress.

More guild events (and alliance event such as the one being organized by Uca) would definitely be too cool smile

Not sure if it's anything anyone's really interested in anymore, but I had the extra time and determination on my hands so the Nudist Journal is now fully caught up to the desert and the travel to Thirsty.
