Adventure Twenty-one - The Sky Gods - Now Open
|
Quote:The Sky Gods watch over and protect the Aztec people. As such, you are free to carry out any of the air missions of the stealth bomber (rebasing, reconnaissance, air strikes, and air bombing) within your own borders at all times. There is therefore never a cost to rebase the Sky Gods or defend your own territory. I suspect the answer is no entry to neutral territory, but I want to confirm. If no entry as suspected, what happens with rebasing? Does that ignore neutral territory?
I think it's very fitting that all three of the Aztec principle gods are gods of war. I wonder if the trend continues:
"And over there is the small temple to the god Stanley. He was the 82nd highest ranking god in the pantheon, ruling over ferrets, the ballet, ice-cream socials....and war" LKendter Wrote:I suspect the answer is no entry to neutral territory, but I want to confirm.I don't understand the question. You can only rebase air units to your own cities. Air units never actually "leave" your territory. Neutral territory and enemy territory are treated the same for the purposes of this game. Anything outside your own borders requires a sacrifice. mostly_harmless & Sullla - thx for this game. I keep finding that Monarch is just right for me - I have to play well to win, but I can usually push the AIs around. For the record, I will be playing this game straight up and down - no Adv20 city spams in this game. That said - I think I can make my game a little different (and fun!).
I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

Judging by the original description - "free to carry out any of the air missions ... within your own borders" and "there is never a cost to re-base", I'd say that rebasing to a carrier in neutral territory is OK without a sacrifice. Sulla can of course correct that if he likes.
No not carriers, carriers can only carry fighters or jets.
I think he means rebasing to an AI city with which you have open borders. Though I don't see the point in this if you cannot carry out any missions when you get there. Or possibly if you want to rebase to a city which is yours, but not connected culturally.
Very cool sounding variant.
Does the cost to use the Gods continue even after being able to legitimately build Stealth Bombers? In other words once you've researched Composites, Flight and Robotics and have access to Oil and Aluminum? Honestly, on Monarch I probably won't make it that far but I thought I'd ask anyway. |
