Cyneheard got a 24 point jump while scooter was playing. I'm willing to bet somebody bought Gunpowder

Scooter offered Printing Press for like 10 of our cities, which I of course declined. He also offered Education for 900g and spices, which I also declined. Nakor offered to trade world maps, which I accepted.

Then I offered Gems for Gold with Azza. I tried to offer GP + Banking to Nakor for Education, but it wouldn't let me add Banking. Not sure what that's all about. Maybe due to us having researched it this turn?

What do you think about the tech brokering debate in the tech thread? I don't have a problem one way or the other, but I don't think it's really right to ban something like that mid-way in the game. I undersand why Commodore is angry about it, since he traded Gunpowder to Scooter who turned around and traded it to the guy Commodore is at war with but....

Tech-wise, Azza got Engineering and Cyneheard got Civil Service (in addition to having traded for Gunpowder)

Nat X is out of revolt and starving from 6 angry faces. I hired 2 artists to pop borders but we're going to need to figure out what to do there.

So scooter is going to try to sell techs at pennies on the dollar hoping to make up the quality of trade with quantity of trades?

He is just looking for ways to continually fund 100% research, that is why we're seeing such good rates. If you want to negotiate, we could try Education for 500g. But now that I see what he's doing I have no qualms with not trading with him at all. And I have no qualms with Tech Brokerage - anybody who took those trades without thinking has no reason to complain halfway through; if anything they now know (or should know) what they are dealing with.

Edit: Wow, Nakor is either getting ready to go to war in a hurry or Krill is about to invade him again. That's a lot of whipping
