In this case, you may have just killed that event for nothing.

How many units do I get for free, what do units cost, which units cost, how do cities influence that?

Basically, you pay for all units once you're past the cap, the cap is given by difficulty plus 24% of your population.

Yeah I threw away the event by ALT+F4, I didn't knew that would happen and am glad this happened with a good event, would have been hard to convince players if this would have been a bad one.
Like this I at least can let the game go on, just my loss.
It probably would have sped things up considerably with a 3rd city, anyways score wise I'm not even the last and I'm feeling good about over rolling them with AC rush. My starting area didn't have a really fast start, wasn't bad though. Lanun got a lot of jungle but not a really bad start either. However not the fastest starts and expansion takes a while, at least thats what I think.
So I think I profit more from a relatively slow start.
I don't know if it was just our island, and just because I was barbarian, but the barbs were really going to be a problem for Lanun, even without me. If thats true for the other players as well, that would be nice.

Plus, settlers are cheap for you. Techs are expensive.

My Goblin killed a Wolf in defense and got promoted to Wolf Rider. Won't make much of a difference in what we are planing but still, a nice perk.
Also the civ stats page is stuck on turn 41 the whole game, so It'll be interesting if it works now, but I guess not. Well knowing the actual turn ain't that important, since you should know it anyways =)
Deruptus will be changed to a settler. No hammers into it yet. Then in two turns Elder Council, back to settler. Will slow down grow a little but I think 3rd settler still worth it. Too bad I fucked up the event, well better learn now than later.
[Btw. why is it better now than later... thought it's then for time.]

Yell0w,
If there's a tech thread in your game, would you mind poking Hart, Fantatic Sid, and Roars that the EitB game has been paused for a day now waiting for them to PTFT? Thanks.

Not really, there is a thread on reddit, but no one has written anything there since before the game started.
My contact was TheBold at old RB forum. I'll try to contact him here.

Yeah it took that long to get to turn 49, the reason is Kazegami who stoped playing and let us wait over 30 hours every turn.
But now there are good news!
HE IS DEAD
Now we might get back to 1 turn a day
