Micromanagement Sims/Planning

One thing about this plan is we are using every unit except the spear for important tasks (garrison happiness, or staking out a new city) almost 100% of the time. If we are invaded by a pillage-happy barb, we may end up dealing with one or more unhappy-pop-turns while we eliminate it. We do have some wiggle-room in every city, but it would sure be nice to get that spear back home if possible, to have 1 floating defender.

Sorry to bother, but can someone point out to me where I can find SevenSpirits plan and an updated sandbox?

I just remembered something extremely annoying that I didn't see being commented here: barb galleys! With barbs on, there's a great possibility (albeit I don't know the exact mechanics about when they appear and how can they appear) we will be facing this annoying buggers soon. That'd be a point for going MC with the Oracle too, but I think the decision is already made regarding Oracling Currency. Either way, it's something to consider, since we are settling some sea food cities soon (and with the large map, there will be unfogged water tiles for a long time).

I wouldn't rate our chances of getting The Great Library as too hot. This is probably the most valued wonder by the SP Civ community in general and I bet there'll be teams beelining for it. Our efforts should be in the MoM, in my opinion (and apparently in most people's opinion). Anyway, like Sullla said, this is a discussion for later. Better to focus on the Oracle plan right now.

Question: How would you fare the possibility of civfanatics building the Great Wall and using the GSpy to infiltrate us (most likely after scouting the whole world)? I say it's a high one.

I have updated my T54 sandbox file. I added 2 culture to FP, fixed the forest and jungles so they are as in the game, and added the area to our southeast. I also flattened the possible island to our west to a flatland, since more fog-gazing made me change my mind about what it was.

We are still short 2b.

This is a tiny bit different than the run I posted the pic of last night, but only in minor tile selection near the end of the sim, that haven't had an effect yet.

Latest micro plan (linked from the first post now)

Most recent sandbox - this is from T54, but mostly played there.

A bit after the majority of the teams in the game has researched Salling, but point taken.

That's better asked in the diplo or C&D threads.

Yeah I don't think barb galleys are a big threat as long as we don't forget about the possibility. It would be extremely unlikely for enough civs to have researched Sailing for one to appear before we finish the Oracle plan for example. We don't need MC to fend them off - we get odds with our own galleys on defense and barbs will attack us.

This is something that I was thinking to bring up after we have finished the Oracle. Obviously the plan was to create the GSPy ourselves lol Well.. Not our first priority..

If we find stone I'd definitely be in favor of building the GW (in say MM for further stacking of points). I don't think it's a big deal either way though.

That body of water might be just a very small one, and a border pop from the two seaside cities might fogbust all water tiles. Lets see.
